The Jeph Howard Interview (by David McNamara)

Jeph Howard

Alot of skaters I have interviewed have pissed me off for various reasons. The main reason is their simple lack of communication. This is a complete mystery to me because you would think that a skater who wants to make a name for themselves in this industry would relish the opportunity to be interviewed.

Most skaters do, until they realise that they may actually have to sit down and think about an reasonable answer to provide.

Jeph was great to work with. He always replied to emails within a short time frame and tried to be as helpful as possible with every other aspect. It pisses me off that Jeph isn’t more of an icon within the sport because he encompasses many aspects which I think make a great skater.

I’m not just talking about ability, I’m talking about attitude and responsibility. It is sickening to watch the endless parade of mindless idiots acting like gangster rappers or rock stars just because they have some talent on skates, when people like Jeph are patiently waiting in the sidelines to take their place. Thanks Dave.

jeph is killer. i’d have though that, being on the M1 team with franky, he would have been stigmatized and become one of the so many ghetto level skaters out there. they can skate, but they piss me off too. it’s good to hear that there’s someone on the M1 who doesn’t think he’s the worlds best rapper.

He’s not gangster because he’s from the suburbs……

Jeph Howard is a great skater but the game is messed up…some people get put on and some people don’t. Always been like this. I don’t think no one is trying to be “gangster rappers” or “rockstars”, maybe it’s the writer thats a hater and wish he could have swag like those dudes. A lot of skaters are quick to judge a person because of their style but on the real, they have no style. A lot of you guys are strong online but in person you hold no weight.

And we know when you say the “rappers” and “rockstars”
you are talking about franky morales, Boss Knight, Broskow, Stockwell, people like that. Stop trying to become a star from writing about skating and actually go out and skate.

Go get ya self a beer and sit on the curb, Dirtbag.

    Hi Haters!

Boom shut the fuck up man + im not trying to be a star BITCH,SO STOP HATING,BITCH

  5. relentless bhangra music Says:

lol, now there’s 2 relentless bhangra music posters. that guy that just posted isn’t the guy who posted first (me). but i have to say, i do agree with him. i think boom whatevert the fuck needs to go out and skate instead of criticizing us for having a go at pros, when that’s not what we’re doing at all. and we’re not trying to be like them you fucking idiot. if i was like franky morales i’d shoot myself. we’re just expressing our opinion about how skating these days is about people clothes, when really it shouldn’t be like that.

  6. haffey Says:

if u were Frankie you’d shoot your self???….quit life kid he is better than you. Everybody in this website is expressing themselves, or voicing their opinions why do u feel the right to, plain and simply, talk shit. If u grew up were they grew up you’d be the same but if daddy buys your skates,l and you have like 30 pairs or roces;shut up man, you have no i dea what you are talking about…what i’m trying to say if fuck you and middle america bitch ass mammas boy!!!

  7. relentless bhangra music Says:

lol. you have no rights calling me a kid when you can’t even get your grammar right. and your spelling for that matter. ‘…were they grew up’, i think you meant WHERE, not were you dumb fuck. see, this is exactly what this is about. motherfucking braindead skaters like you and franky. it’s like having a conversation with a 6 year old, only not as civil…oh wait i guess i’m going to have to explain what that means now because you have obviously never been to school.

  8. horseshit Says:

    fuck rollernews…i’m gonna skateboard

  9. blahdy blah Says:
