Im not going to pretend that i really liked this video when it came out but it really reminds me of good times skating.
I hate to sound like a broken record but surely people can see the relaxed enjoyable vibe rollerblading has lost?! I mean just look at Erik Garcia and how much fun they had, genuine fun, not acting how they think people would think is cool but seriously joking. No wanna be rockstars ‘individuals’.
Man I miss this era of skating. Style, fun, and sessions.

October 10th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
i agree too, before it was better, calmer, more natural, not acting, more people together sessioning, low quality video… i like it more!

Brandon Smith and Erik Garcia’s sections in this video are two of the greatest of all time.

erick garcia for the win. What an amazing section. The whole video is so solid. I agree with everyone saying the old days were much more about sessions, chill and relaxed style. Not many people have really progressed the Nick Riggle approach either. He was on a different tip. Just imagine if this was filmed high quality by today’s standards. All the groms would eat it up.

WORD UP mikeA I make your words mine.
I hope rolling goes back to what it was, at least feeling wise, trick wise its much more powerful these days. theres just too many bullshit in rolling right now, but its still the best thing to do in the world.
anyways, keep skating.

I was skating back in 98-2000 and man i know what those days were it was mad love all over rollerbladers were like a 100 deep then all clumped together at the Embearcadero in a carl’s jr. having lunch getting ready to get back to the session. i miss my old crew and those days but the new days are here and regardless of what your shit is with rolling right now or whatever it is, it was and always will be what brought us together and that is the love for are shit, the unity are friends and family atleast from what i know we can still all have that we just gotta reach out alittle farther and do that so if you feel those days are over your probably just smoking to much pot or something go to rehab and call up a friend and if you dont have any just do what i did go skate and make some bring em together man cuz there still there. i love what i do man you should too.
