Texas Skate Series: Dallas, Edit by Kristian Payne
Dallas Texas was the 5th stop of the Texas Skate Series. After the first spot in Denton, Tx, we headed to the second spot where we were kicked out and then followed by the police to the back up second spot.
After being told we were not allowed to hold the event and being followed by the cop again all the way back to a near by skate park, we decided it was time to leave Denton.
Therefore, the not so Dallas comp in Denton, turned back into the Dallas comp as we headed south for the final spot: “Carolton Kink”.
Overall the comp was fun and a lot of crazy things went down. Big thanks to everyone who came out and supported and congratulations to Mason, John and Russell for taking the top three spots.

TX skaters are so damn good. On another note….. that “music” was fucking BRUTAL! Out of all the music in the world the editor choose to pick the WORST Kanye West song I have ever heard in my entire life! Couldn’t have picked a worse song to showcase such an amazing looking competition. Didn’t fit at all. Sorry

Have to agree with the first post though, that music was fucking awful. Didn’t fit at all. That first verse.. Was that an attempt at rapping?
I wouldn’t normally insult someone’s music selection but that definitely made the edit worse for me.
@Kristian, your “no fucks given” attitude is immature and counter-productive. Surely you want as many people as possible to watch and enjoy your edit.

Kristian your edits are always sick to me. Texas blading always holds it down. seriously who gives a fuck about the music. at the end of the day, the comp went down. Fritz your the man! Get well soon.
for those “music” critics out there kristian literally made this edit the following day. He knows there were a few errors but I know he also knows what he’s doing when it comes to filming and editing. Just watch any of his other edits.

Hopefully next year we can get bigger crowds, more skaters, more sponsors and more prize money. this was the first year of the Texas Skate Series. We will learn from the mistakes and only make it better. Be looking out for the TSS Finals which i believe will be back in Austin, TX.

I heard the up rail got tore up at the 1st spot yet there were no clips in this edit from it. Supposedly lots of good shit was missed.
90% of comp edits suck because people are soo concerned with getting shit out so fast instead of taking their time and collaborating and getting all the best clips and putting out 1 or 2 solid edits.

In response to BIG DICK BANDIT; I think a total of 3 tricks were successfully landed on that rail. Also, I collaborated with 3 other filmers besides myself which is depicted in the credits on Vimeo. No growing up necessary, and by calling me a kid doesn’t make you some sort of dominate figure. I make edits because it is what I love to do, truly, and could care less if not everyone in the entire world agrees with the song I use or not. You put your name as “big dick bandit”, I think you are the one that needs to grow up. You are the epitome of a “roller news hater” that literally everyone hates.

The song is from an album that is ranked number 1 on itunes right now. obviously can’t be that bad of a song. sure, maybe it didn’t go with the skating but to make some ones ears bleed is a little over the top.

The up rail was in a really bad spot. I wish somebody wolud’ve filmed my topsoul up 360 topsoul down. We’re definitly holdin it down here in Tejas. So many bladers on the rise. so it seems to me that y’all are paying attention to the wrong things. As far as edits go he timed it to the music, cut it appropriately and mixed it well. Maybe the song wasn’t your thing but honestly if Randy Spizer can skate to the Spice Girls i dont really see what the big deal is. Everyone has guilty music pleasures, so deal it with.
