I have mixed feelings on this..over all i think its good..its just presented kinda weird..its great exposure for rollerblading in general..i think franky could 5 it!!!

I’m sick of turning up to a skatepark and getting ignorant kids demanding tricks like backflips and retarded “stunts” just because they think that’s what rollerblading is all about.
I’m not even kidding, I did a perfect tru top porn full cab out off a drop ledge and these kids didn’t even acknowledge it. But I 720′d a jumpbox and they thought it was amazing…
This whole publicity thing makes rollerbladers seem like performing monkeys. Yes it might give rollerblading exposure but it will become nothing more than a trend that will be cast aside again, repeating the cycle.
BORING! I just want to put my skates on, skate for myself and my friends and not care what the world thinks of my sport.

Why would you expect people on the outside to have any idea how hard tech tricks are?
I’ve spent a lot of time on skates, bikes and snowboards, Regardless of what “action” sport you do, kids are always going to say “Do a backflip”. Thats what people want to see. Can you blame them? It looks awesome when someone does a flip on skates or a bike. You can’t expect the world to dive deep into the specifics of a new sport.
Performing monkeys?
When you put sports on tv thats what you get. Talented people who make careers out of entertaining spectators. It is what it is. No one is asking you to grind a tampon for money so relax. Some people would love to make a living doing what they have worked hard for. If that means doing flips on Nitro Circus or jumping off the eiffel tower then so be it.
When it comes down to it you’re always going to have kids that are true to the sport and do it for themselves and thats awesome. But if rollerblading is going to be a career that our athletes can profit from and live comfortably from then it has to evolve into a sport that the general public can understand and accept.
Just my two cents…

Mike you forgot one thing : Thaï is a fucking asshole, I’m French and believe me he always say : “I will do something very difficult, i’m very good but this tricks his so difficul, but i’ll try it, etc”. He’s very selfish and stupid…
This summer he played a TV fucking sutpid emission. I think the problem isn’t Backflip, but Thaï Khris himself.
