Stefan Brandow is one of those rollerbladers who gives you a lot of hope for the future of our sport. Stefan simply “gets it.” He is ahead of the curve in the blading community.

When he goes out and films for his video parts, or online edits for sponsors, his understanding of progression shines through, a mixture of both raw talent and an impeccable eye for creative detail. He does unique maneuvers because doing things that are unique and question the current state of our sport is something that flows naturally through his rollerblading thought process.

Stefan embodies the creative and energetic aspect from the serious side of blading, but embraces it with an ease and grace that is rare amongst rollerbladers his age. He is doing everything right and with a smile on his face. To someone like him, the pressure of progression is no match for the natural eye he posses for incredible eye-pleasing skating.

First 2 months on USD UFS Thrones in Rochester, Elmira, Nashville, Birmingham, and Columbus.

This past Summer I started having knee issues that were really concerning me. When I moved back to New York in September I finally went to a doctor only to find out that the damage to my knees was being caused by the skates I was riding at the time. After trying out a few different brands, I got a pair of UFS Thrones and after getting the correct set up and liner I fell in love with the skates.

Big thanks to USD, The Conference, Demetrios George, Taylor Popham for putting up with me for 2 weeks, and everyone that helped film!

Somethin’ Ain’t Right: An Online Video by Stefan Brandow and Bruce Bales.

The idea for “Somethin’ Ain’t Right” is completely based around everything Pittsburgh. There are so many amazingly talented bladers and incredible spots in Pittsburgh, yet it is easily one of the most slept on cities / scenes in rollerblading.

We felt that something wasn’t right about this, and people needed to see the talent that the city created. Even the lingo for this video is pure Pittsburgh rollerblading. The term “Ain’t Right” is said by Pittsburgh veterans Ryan Parker and Brant Pickup, and has carried over into all of our vocabularies.
