Blading Legend Tom Ahlqvist: Remz Edit

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

The first time I (Kato) set foot in America it was with him, and we had traveled Europe up and down many times blading every skatepark in sight for years before that.. Next thing you know Remz was born.

It means a lot to me to receive this edit today from Tom, and if you know your history or have been around since the 90s it must be a real treat for you as well! A bowl edit by Tom Ahlqvist!

Remz HR 1.1: Promo Edit by Fred Castro

Remz HR 1.1

Remz developed a new generation of skates which addresses the problem of many soft boots: the softening and loss of support after a while of use.

The new Remz technology solves the issue by incorporating high end non-stretch composite materials into the fabric, which effectively eliminates stretching and give over time. The result is a much firmer fit and the skate will maintain its performance after long periods of skating.

The HR 1.1 uses high end imported fabrics which were exclusively developed for Remz and offers a host of new details, unique fabrics, structures and design elements. Freedom-of-feet approved for your enjoyment.

Whatup Mo, introduce yourself man

My name is Mo Marzuq, i live in plymouth ma, been skating for 12 years now, my influences are Gabe Holm, Jeff Dalnas, Johnny Wu, Mark Wojda, i’d have to say my heroes are Haffey, Shima, Rob Thompson!

mo marzuq remz How is it growing up as a blader out there?

I pretty much grew up skating in Boston, its a small city with tons of bladers, so many awesome people. Tons of lil’ groups its really cool when everyone gets together, i skate with Taylor Greene, Jeff Dalnas, John Wu, Gabe Holm, Tim Kelly, Kyle Couture, Mark Wojda, and Johny. There’s a ton more people but these are the guys I’m usually rolling with.

I got a bunch of pre fab skate parks around me that are pretty awful, but i still go and skate them my favorite one is the Mattapoisett park, for a pre fab park its pretty tight… Rye Airfield is like an hour north of me but its incredible indoor park! [...]

Sean Agoliati (NYC): Remz flowfile

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Remz Flowfile Ft. Sean Agoliati , 24 yo, from New York NY.

Sean Agoliati (NYC)

Alright man, tell us a bit about you and how it all started.

My name is Sean Agoliati. I’m originally for Poughkeepsie, New York, but I have been living in Manhattan for the past two years. I’m 24 years old and I have been skating for about 8 years. My biggest influences that have impacted my skating are my friends who don’t skate, my parents, Tri-State Skate and Greg Keiffer, and of course Remz.

The greater majority of my closest friends had no idea what skating was really all about until I showed them and they have been fully supportive of my progression and the sport every since. Most think skating is petty radical once they realize how technical and insane this sport can get. My parents rock to say the least.

Thanks for dropping all that dinero on skates for me well into my college years and letting me pursue my every interest in life. Greg and TSS have been amazing for the past year or so and I couldn’t be luckier to have such a supportive sponsorship. Lastly, Remz and its ridiculous Team and Flow Team have been a consistent inspiration since I got back into skating in 2004.

I had no idea what Remz was before that date, but I haven’t put another skate on my feet in the past six years and before that I was riding Roces 5th elements back in 1998. My heros: Batman, Robin Hood, who ever it was that invented the inline skate, America, and so many more. [...]

Kawika Jarman: steps down from the Remz Flow team after 7 years

kawika jarman

It has been great riding for Remz and supporting the brand. Its great to get the chance to promote something that you would do anyways and you believe in. I’m happy that I was able to inspire kids to get Remedyz.

I remember when I was working at Skatebarn and everytime I sold a pair I’d make the kid try v-cut, full cuffs, and no cuff just to see how they like it. And of course I would always push for the no-cuff because that’s what I have always rode haha.

I would love to ride for Remz forever but there are other kids that deserve it more and can represent the brand way better than I could. I’m excited for Josiah Blee to rep Remz hard and show everyone what he can do.

I don’t think I could ever truly quit, just slowing down a bit. Its been one of the best experiences in my life and has given me life long friends.

You’ll still see me around at contest in the northwest and skating parks. I just can’t afford to get hurt so I can’t be going nuts anymore.

I’ve been busy with work and been taking on the adventure to be a career fire fighter, and trying to spend some time with my wife when I can. It is time now to focus more on my career and family.

I will always be on Remz regardless, after skating them for 7 years anything else would feel weird!”
