The white Remedyz were made in 97, but they were made for people to test and grommets like me to loath. They were originally distributed by O.U.T. (Once Upon a Time) by vert legend skater Toto Ghali and Kato in France. 98 was the release of the black with red detailing and was released to the general public. Kato himself distributed the skates himself along with the infamous Bryan Bell and Bryan Jaggers in San Diego.
It was the first time I would meet them and they would treat me like family. There I met many other people like Chris Haffey, Mike Leaf, Kevin Smith, Damien Wilson, Nick Wood, Dawn Everett (when she was living there at the time), Jon Elliott, and a slew of others. The skates came with the first fifty/50 frames, but with a weak cuff support and paper insoles, which was easily corrected with a Spensco insole.
