Radius Media, from the makers of rejects
Just got a message from Mike B. :
This is Mike Buckalew from Alabama, and i thought i would fill you in on the new project coming out of the south. it is called radius media “the rollerblading source” .

First off, lets get the name association out of the way. We are in fact the “Roller Blading Magazine”. Now, I realize that there is a company with whom many of you might think we share a common name, but that is not the case. Our publication depicts a community of Rollers, namely, those Rollers whose interest lie in the blading category. “Wow”, you ask, “What the hell is this guy talking about?” and in fact you have good reason to be confused. Let me explain.
The Dictionary tells us a Roller is “somebody who or something that rolls”, and Blading is “ the activity of in-line skating”. So after much thought and research we decided that “Roller Blading Magazine” was the perfect and most obvious choice for our publication. But why make the name so obvious? Well, we figured that the average kid searching for a publication on the subject of Roller Blading would not know to look for “Daily Bread” or “Be-Mag” on a newsstand.
To us, that was the ultimate problem to solve, how do you grow the sport of Roller Blading if a kid doesn’t even know where to start? You don’t. So we decided to give all the kids that like Roller Blading, but don’t know where to start, a place to begin. And, the rest of you that already have roots in our industry, something new to go along the other magazines that represent our voice to the world. Sounds kind of sentimental, but it’s the truth. Roller Blading is our life and we hope it will be part of yours!
