The World Rolling Series is simply about uniting aggressive inline skating participants around the globe through a professional competition format. The jam session style events are held in different parts of the world and are based on a point ranking system which is calculated at the end of the year. The competitions are also a great excuse to meet new people from all over the world who share one same common interest with each other, that is, rollerblading.
In 2005, for one reason or another, the producers of the X Games in the United States decided to drop both inline street and vert contests from their international television broadcasted show. One may ask, but why? Well, it is only strategic for one action sport such as skateboarding, to hate on another action sport such as rollerblading, so that the skateboarding industry can stay alive and feed off all the money from corporate sponsorships.
