Juju-Power was at the Lg Action Sports Contest in Paris that took place at the Trocadero (september 2006), and he filmed almost all the runs that went there ! A big thank to you.
Check the runs of Katie Ketchum, Jenna Downing, Martina Svobodova, Chris Haffey, Chaz Sands, Mathias Silhan, Stephane de Freitas, Fallon Hefferman, Stephane alfano, Oli Short, Takeshi Yasutoko, Taig Kris and Fabiola da Silva :
After his first place finish in the prelims, Marc Englehart was up all night doing a rain dance. Still, the vert comp went off without a hitch. Taïg Khris threw down; Shane Yost killed it, but in the end, nobody could top the original golden boy, Takeshi Yasutoko.

Mike Opalek, the ‘official ASA reporter’ wrote a report about the finals that took place in Paris on the 3rd of September 2006. You can read about the Paris Street and Vert Prelims here (report & results) and don’t miss the video that aired on french Tv (France 2) talking about the Lg Action Paris contest (in french, but the video is nice).
In the Shadow of the Tower
I never would have imagined there were so many rollerblading fans in Paris, but it felt like half the city turned up for the street finals. The French love their countrymen, so
Stephane Alfano and Steven Aleil were especially popular but they also went crazy for the girls and pretty much anybody who rocked.
Before the street comp, Fallon Heffernan popped her shoulder out of the socket twice. It looked like she wasn’t going to do much after a cautious first run. Fabiola on the other hand, did a solid run with a 540 over the box and a smooth soul down the double barrel rail that put her in first after the first run.
Katie Ketchum, Martina Svobodova and Jenna Downing all put together good lines, but after Fallon’s explosive second run, it was clear that she was going to take the women’s street.
In the men’s street event, Chris Haffey was the man to beat and there were a few people eying him to take his spot. Berlin’s winner Nicolas Schopfer didn’t skate as well as he should have. He did beat Oli but that’s not saying much since Oli showed up late and only took one run without a warm up. [...]

Inline Street Prelims Recap
It was the American, 2005 LG Action Sports World Champion, Chris Haffey, who came out and stole the show in his second run.
A 900 over the launch box then went on to true mizou down the rail and a disaster soul down the rail box. He had the most consistent run with the best variety of tricks. We are looking forward to the finals tomorrow when we will see if Chris Haffey can take the gold.

Inline Vert Prelims Recap (more…)
France 2, one of the biggest french Tv News Channel broadcasted a 2 min reportage of the Lg Action Sports Contest that took place on the 2nd of September 2006 (the contest will be there on the 3rd too). The contest is located at the Trocadero, near the Eiffel Tower.
The video features an interview of Taig Kris and Fabiola da Silva. You can see some skating from the Yasutoko brothers, Taig Kris, Julien Cudot (12 years old) & Fabiola da Silva. By the way who is this 60 years old skater i see on all the Asa dates ? Mad props to him! (check a photo of him at the end of this news).
Don’t miss the Borderline a new tricks created by Taig Kris which is pretty impressive.
Nicolas Schopfer was our king of the street today. The Swiss skater had the cleanest run out of everyone. His highlights included a 360, negative makio down the ledge, acid soul and a 270 backside farfegnugen.
The 19 year old is stoked to say the least, capturing his first victory of the season. Read the full article.

Here is the part 2 of my Nass edit duo, this, the street section.. (you can check the vert edit here, featuring Shane Yost)
So yes the media area for the street section was absolute balls and so i took the stands and try to avoid the crowd as much as possible as it was blatently the best angle. ive taken all the best parts from the final, as 15 mins of footage is kinda big for an edit ya!
With thanks to my press and media passes gaining access to all areas at NASS ’06 in Birmingham ive managed to produce an edit documenting the VERT FINALS, winner -Shane Yost. Ive also put in some photos i got between filming…
Stop number two of the LG Action Sports World Tour landed in Birmingham England and blew the roof off of the NEC arena and the annual NASS (National Adventure Sport Show)) event. This weekend was filled with a major competition upset, the return of reigning and past LG Action Sports World Champions, and a special visit from two action sports icons/legends.
Erik Bailey 1st place for the street contest, Shane Yost 1st place for the vert contest !
