Inline skating champion Jenna Downing is none other than the 2008 LG Action Sports World Champion, 10 x British Champion and is a former X-Games silver medallist (2002).
All by the age of 21! A natural competitor, Jenna has competed in rollerblading events since the tender age of 8 and has amassed a lifetime of awards competing across the globe in televised and major international events.
After turning pro at the age 12 (making Jenna the youngest female skater in the world to ever turn pro) there was no stopping her and Jenna has gone on to become an institution in British rollerblading. [...]

The idea was to get more girls involved with extreme sports.
There was demos from the Female Pro’s and we gave out loads of freebies. Guys were welcome as always. Hundreds of people turned up to the event and it was a great success.
Well… it finally happened! Nope not the first black president of America, nor the fact that Slumdog Millionaire finally scooped a stack of awards at the Oscars after what seemed like a years build up – no sir… it was Rampworx very first Ladies Day Event. ‘A what!â€, I hear you cry!
Yep.. a ladies day event… designed to get more girls involved in the sports that we cater for at our little skatepark tucked away in the corner of a city more renowned for its football, politics and music than for the best location in Europe to host free wheeled extreme sports events. (more…)
I did some filming for the website of Nationwide Bank. I was dressed to look like a business woman and I just had to jump over the rope with my skates on.
Well I’m 17 right now and I live in a small town called Barnsley in Yorkshire, England. I hate living here though, thats why I never stay. I am always travelling, I love seeing different countries and meeting different people. I study English, Law and French at a college in Huddersfield and then at the weekends I go off rollerblading somewhere with my friends.
I love to skate, I have been doing it now for sooo long, its pretty much been my life, I dont think I could ever quit. Just the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met have been amazing! Hopefully after college I’m going to do French law at LIVERPOOL Uni :-D but before then I want to travel to as many places as I can and hopefully live out in California when I get the chance.
Jenna is from South Yorkshire but spends a great deal of her time traveling the world competing in the ASA Pro Tour and in Championships, though she did make it home to compete in the LG Action Sports World Championships hosted outside of the USA for the first time this year, in Manchester.
Sponsored by K2, Jenna has had a great year, including media exposure on TV and in the media. (She even took the idea of media exposure to the extreme this year with a Sun newspaper feature entitled “Get Your Skates On†comprising photographs of her modelling swimwear alongside other top female inline skaters Fabiola De Silva and Martina Svobodova!)
