Checking in again with a new update from South California, San Diego, where on our Chronicle tour. We have been meeting so many new friendly people around here, and staying open minded gives us the chance to meet people and sometime stay at their house, all around the SD area.
They all get so interested when we tell them we are from a little Scandinavia country and things are way different, and I agree they are, but it hasn’t stopped us form getting into a big bubble of great experience. Time flies when you’re having so much fun.
After staying in SD for a week we already knew our way around, and if you’re not picky with spots it’s not hard to find something by yourself. It’s like the california dream for any European skater. We were still where lucky that one of the locals threw a BBQ in Otay park because there we got to meet many more skater friends (and collect phone numbers) [...].
“Our plan was to make some video updates for our time here in Cali, but with our little oldschool HD style camera it’s hard to get to the standards.
With help from Mike Tseng, who filmed second angles with his GoPro, we found some cool spots sometimes hidden from most street skaters over here (who use absurd amont of wax by the way).
The plan for this second part was to make something different, not your usual skate edit.
We wanted to give it a lifestyle feel and with Bryan Bell’s help I think we did it. And as we are living in our car, hotel on wheels, you can probably guess that we are kind of on a low budget, so the last part was to make Kato turn his office in to a studio.
Hope you guys will enjoy and we’ll try making a new video update soon if we don’t fall in our black hole.” – Jacob Juul.
