We just got some final drawings from the factory for the 8 wheel core frame, and I gotta say, they’re looking amazing. I’m really glad we asked for your help in designing these, we made a few changes and enhancements that I think will make these the best frames we’ve ever created. You can see the pictures below. If things go smooth, we should have skateable samples in October and make it to shops just in time for the Winter season.
While we were designing the 8 wheel frame, we came across an issue with the Core design. It seems that on some skates, those without a flat mounting surface, we saw a few Cores snapping. We had the skaters send us their frames and used that information to strengthen the cores to hold up even better during the stress. This modification is now complete, and any future shipments of Core System frames will include the new and improved Core.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of the mold. Look for 8 wheel frame samples in a couple months.
