Widely considered the most stylish rollerblader in the world, this re-edit of Dominic Sagona‘s Legacy section highlights the steez that sets this guy apart from the rest.

The Conference crew set out to Arizona a few weeks ago to make this edit and snap some pics with photographer Adam Kola.
Well everyone did just that and came through with some nice coverage. A big thanks to Dom for letting us all stay at his place.
Thanks to James from Revolution for the spot list. Thanks to Jeff Stockwell for double angles and being him self. Filmed and edited by Paul John.

Does Dominic Sagona need an introduction? His skating has arguably the strongest signature that remains in the elite. There are few skaters that have survived the years of body destruction and continue to skate at the highest level as professional skaters, as Dominic still can.
Dominic’s skating has continued to inspire thousands of skaters worldwide, with his recent Powerhouse edit cruising past 90,000 hits.
Dominic has something about his style and execution of every trick that makes us all wish we could skate a little more like he does. USD is proud to present a little more of an insight into Dominic’s life with this interview.

It’s been a while since our last UFS Throne, but wait no longer! Dominic Sagona is possibly the world´s most stylish skater, and without doubt one of the biggest icons of the sport. Dominic chose a UFS Throne with all the highest specs.
The Kizer Fluid 4 has taken the anti-rocker market by storm, and the USD A-Top Phoenix Liner is USD´s best liner yet. The skate includes Dom´s new BHC Pro wheels, Abec 7 bearings and UC Anti-Rocker wheels. Stylish Skates? That´s an understatement!

Dominic Sagona came over to film for the BHC DVD Filthy Hooligans and these clips were filmed in the 2 weeks prior to him breaking his wrist in BCN.
Dom will always be one of the most stylish bladers in the game and we should all realise by now how important icons like him are to rollerblading.

Dominic Sagona posted his interview from Clac Magazine #1 (french + english language). Thanks Oli Benet. The pictures used in the interview are available in good quality at Powerhouse.
Dominic Sagona is an icon for our sport, he has shaped blading into what it is today, and the best part is, he is still going strong.
Dominic is one of our good friends, he recently moved to Arizona, and we’re honored to have him be a part of our skate scene. Dominic keeps things simple in his life, he focuses on his skating, music, and family.

I am 28, and have been rollerblading for around 20 years now. I can’t stop, allthough sometimes my body asks me to.
I Dj in Spain and around Europe, mostly drum and bass and dubstep.
I’m learning to shoot photos, and also getting into acting, with a few jobs under my belt so far. I work for a group of inline companies under The Conference.

What’s it like to play in front of a big crowd at a club, feel the peoples energy and see how they react to what you are doing?
It’s really unlike anything else that I do or have done before. I think to just zen out and be yourself, to just do what you do, to do it properly in front of people who are reacting in such an enthusiastic and positive way is one of the greatest feelings. [...]
Is this feeling in any way comparable to skating in front of a crowd or to just skating in general? With the adrenalin rush you get when lacing a difficult trick or during the summit of a good session maybe?
Yes, this feeling is almost the same, I think. To get an instant response from other people to what you are doing at that exact moment. I think many of the big contest skaters probably know this feeling more than most of us, and some of them feed off of it, as do DJ’s feed off the crowd.
But for me I do not like skating in front of anyone anymore, only a small group of friends who are a part of the session. I get anxiety before I play at a gig, but it’s usually gone by the time I start to catch a groove. [...]

This week, let’s take a look at the Box Magazine Class of 2000 from the January 2000 issue.
It is interesting to look at the list of names featured and see the different paths their lives have taken.
Every skater on the list has left an impact on skating. Some of them continue to influence the blading universe with their skating or other talents, while others have moved on with their lives or faded into obscurity or infamy. — Ben Rogers
