This video is here so we know that Shifty is going stronger than ever! and is supporting british rollerblading!
Rollernews is a daily pilgrimage and every so often there is something new and fresh in particular I mean british rollerblading that ups to the new level and makes you want to go out and roll to your hearts content!
Along with the Ignition Dominic Wagner section which I have to add has to be the best section I hand on heart have ever seen!
I am just disappointed in how amazed I am not that videos like this could show much more of a skaters vocabulary.. allow myself to explain..
Now difficulty can not be ignored in what sets apart the leaders from the followers..
Chaz for example has the natural spinning direction of anticlockwise and does so onto his most difficult of tricks 540 tru topsoyale/aotopacid/aofish, 360 tru topsunny/topacid/fish as much as you have to have respect for accomplishing such tricks adding a 180 to an already rinsed out trick is not really progression! these tricks in such style have been done for years!
Just wanted to add that the tru ao fish down the long rail was so sick with the rocket stylee at the end!
I don’t know anyone that could disagree with the statement that knowing a skaters style and doing a difficult trick the ‘easy’ way for example a frontside: 90 degrees anticlock to grind or truspin 270 clockwise to grind. Again the chances are the truespin would be your unnatural direction (unless you learnt soul grind on halfpipe ‘park rat style’) hence the difficulty making such trick sick/rockstar/respected. If the 360 tru topsunny/topacid/fish/topmistrail was done clockwise to the left topside that would have been progression and shown more of the skaters capabilities. diverse with anticlockwise 360′s to top acid/fish/topmistrail
Will there ever be switch 360 to switch fishbrain if so I eat my words in terms of progression in difficulty! (& utter sickness!)
Progression would be tru top ao mistrail clockwise onto the left topside boot, 360 clockwise ‘inspin’ acid soul/makio/sunnyday, switch bs sav, switch top soyale clockwise onto right topside boot, fakie 450 clockwise to bs unity/topacid/fish.. don’t get me started on switch/fullcab/truspin/ao everything, for example: switch fullcab tru ao mistrail in clockwise to the right soul foot = that is unnatural direction to unnatural boot that would make it known that this skater is really pushing their ‘own’ progression.
a random trick thought: switch tru ao mistrail clockwise to right soul boot 270 anticlock to fs royale = one very sick trick!
A section should show a well rounded array of tricks and progression, 95% of skaters have done a 540 tru fish on a curb.. I very much doubt switch 540!
