Then he came back from that skating pretty fierce in the Conneticut PARK edit but he also smashed his knee up pretty bad during that session resulting in another couple weeks off.
This is showing what he’s been up to coming back from those injuries right quick with 11th and lombard and Peach Plaze madness.

I’m sorry for being such a hater, it’s just i’ve never seen alf skate anything remotely big or cool for that matter. it’s always just basic flat ledges. This dude is wack.

I am hating because he is hurting. your right it’s not my business if he doesn’t skate big obstacles, but it is my business to criticize when i see an edit of a denial rider on rollernews who can’t skate any thing but flat ledges or the like.
you can tell he doesn’t know how to skate by that shitty ass five he does on the quarter.
edit’s of the haters is beyond the point.
I bet his style looks nothing like that when skating different obstacles. (as shown on his 540)

First of, nice edit..
And second, skating big things does not make you more “skilled” since doing for an example fullcab true soul on a kneehigh ledge with style is way harder than doing a royale on a death rail. Grinding deathrails needs balls not much skill.

I also think it’s completely okay to be blunt. I don’t think Alf needs our unwavering compassion. Plus, his style is do obviously forced anyone who does care to be nice should sit down and have an intervention with the guy.

or anyone who cares to hate can watch alf’s edits from years ago where he lands the same…and does rails and whatever else. alf’s been skating for years and is over the whole downrail/flatrail thing. he skates what he wants and has fun… skate with him sometime you’ll realize.

why would you hate on alf. you realize he is recently getting over 2 pretty harsh injuries, i actually definitely dont think he’ll be doing extreme huge rails and gaps at least for a good while. plus check out some rollphilly.com edits of him. hes fresh! dont talk shit about him if youve never met or skated with him before cause your mind will chhange completely and i can promise that.

ah damnit, i didn’t want to have to write a book here. why can’t you guys just accept what i said.
grindguru, no shit a full true soul on a small ledge takes more skill than royaling a drop rail. not once did i say anything about a drop rail or even rails for that matter. I don’t know why your trying to school me on what takes more skill. all you did was state the obvious.
killgore, once i again i don’t know where you guys are getting this idea of downrails/flatrails. They are the most played out thing in rollerblading and you know this. What i am i saying is, it seems he can’t skate difficult obstacles. (difficult does not mean big) I watched his 05/06 edit and it was the same. grind, grind, grind, except on flatrails/downrails (non of which had anything interesting to em) and not just ledges. oh and he through in the occasional 540 on a basic gap. he may be over rails, but he’s still not skating anything interesting. yes, skating what you want and having fun is what it’s all about. I’m sure if i skated with him it would be a jolly ol’ time. i just expect more when i see an edit from a sponsored rider.

Mscherer, because his ego seems to be way to big. I understand he’s coming off injuries and i’m sure he skates as good if not better than what we saw in that edit on a daily basis. watching him do “extreme huge rails” is probably the last thing i would want to see out him. There’s a good chance my perspective on the guy would change if i skated or hung out with him, but that would be because i would see something i haven’t seen in his edits. from what i have seen i stand by my point.

I have no hard feelings for alf, i have never meet the guy. second, i don’t give a shit about stunts if they look like shit. which is why i don’t care david sizmore’s skating. uh oh, no i’m gonna have all his friends jumping on my back.
@ alf, all i can say is skate more creative difficult obstacles and i’m sure me and many people would enjoy your skating alot more.

Alf has serious steeze. i bet most of you haters havent seen him skate in person, he’s really smooth and can make jsut about anything look good. This edit isnt him pushcing limits its jsut a east coast cold as fuck winter edit in a park that denial clearly did for fun. why would you risk getting hurt for a free online edit. besdied his skating alf is one of the nicest guys youll meet at a comp and is an asset to rollerblading so if you didnt like the edit just shut up and go make your own edit thats better and put it up on rollernews. untill then stop wasting your time negativley criticizing somone who loves our sport just as much as the next guy.

You need some Them Goods bearings in those wheels dude! You need to be haulin ass on those transitions! The curved bench looked fun to fool around and you sure pulled some very nice tricks, but i agree with the fellas who think this isnt what i expected of a Denial ad on the front page. I know Denial is the shit! Hope the next edit is alot more exciting. Denial fuckin RULES!
