St. Louis x Fade Nation x We Are Valo 2
I made this edit for a school assignment in May 2007, and as far as I am concerned, this is still a rough copy. I absolutely hate the intro because it was extremely rushed, so if I ever get around to redoing it, I will upload that version instead. Most of these clips were sent to Brandon Negrete and Lonnie Gallegos for their new video Fade Nation. Alex’s clips were all for We Are Valo 2. Some were in The Meantime as well.
Shot on location in St. Louis and Kansas City.
Filmed & Edited by Ryan Powell. Music by Glass Candy.
Thanks Ryan Powell.

nice edit …but its a bit harsh on lonnie and brandon putting clips that are in fade nation on the internet. way to go to ruin their video

he’s not putting an entire video or section that they edited, and these clips were filmed by him. the video’s in no major way ruined, by this edit he did himself, if anything the quality of the skating (especially broskow who kills it as usual) will encourage purchase of the vid

it would have been alot more harsh if i would have posted this edit back in may when i made it and ruined half of alex’s section in WAV2 and the 5 or 6 clips that were used in fade nation…or if this would have had all the other clips of alex that were in fade nation (but those were filmed after completion of this edit.)
check out the info on this video’s youtube page, it clearly says “support the supporters” followed by links to the fade nation, valo, and vibralux websites.
thanks for the feedback!

also, if youre wondering about the intro, its not at all how i was planning it to be…but the original idea i had was to drive from my house to the first spot and then walk up to the gap and play it all in super fast motion…..but i had a few problems in post so that obviously didnt work out, and i was pressed for time to turn it in for a school assignment.
:/ oh well

broskow was the best part

I love the whole 70′s music that went along with it. Gave the edit a air of relaxed and yet mysterious all at the same time.

xsjado, are you using laptop speakers?

haha actually nevermind, kinda lost it in the middle. oh well, editing isnt my strong point, especially after not doing so for like 7 or 8 months (which was the case when i made this). oh well, i hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as i did while filming it.
