Senate: Good Old Days
I saw some old senate wheels on one of your blogs, thought you might be interested to see some of the old stuff I have.
I have some more that isn’t in the pics, Senate TJ webber ashtray wheels, TJ webber 007 wheels, Hyper Jacks, Senate Matt Mantz poker wheels, CDS detroit grindstones…….
Dunno why I’ve bought all this stuff, guess it reminds me of good times!

Those old senate products where amazing they always had awsome packaging and cool adverts what where marketed more towards kids not like today and I know back then there wasnt alot of skating companies but I think everybody had atleast one senate product

Yeh senate always made a huge effort with the presentation of there products, and it was exciting and novel to have the new stuff.
I still think it’s weird how senate just disappeared and nobody said anything or seem to be at al bothered, whereas when mindgame disappeared people were really disappointed and morbid. strange. but true.

Senate, Medium and Cozmo (not forgetting Rise Above) remain my favourite companies to this day. Every company that came after them just seemed to be trying a bit too hard, nothing was as fun.
Once I take some pics of my other wheels I’ll send them on to be added.
I’m just gutted I used both sets of Medium Jake Elliots I had haha.

Those were the best wheels ever . The ones with the church art right? I used them with my M12 (first release) and senate bribes anti-rockers(i still skate them). Shame I never found another set :(.

Yeah those are the exact ones. A couple of years ago about 24 boxes of the church art ones came up on ebay, I wish I’d bought more than two! I currently have a set residing on my 03 remz, I’m gonna be gutted when they are worn out.

This brings back memories. There was so many other brands back in the day. Super Computer Robot (same urethane manufacturer as Senate & Medium.. details were in an old Daily Bread). 3rd World, Blood, United, Heavy, Dyna, Kryptonics, Hyper (aaron feinberg’s first wheel sponser), etc… So many brands.

I think Senates biggest downfall, even as a wheel company, was their CLOTHING (in the later years). (Given, the long lived spiked-core for superior delamination didn’t help either). Mindgame came strong with an interesting appeal and originality. Then, as rollerblading matured a bit, the whole shirts with Cadillacs and hood ornaments lost their appeal in favor of the more current styles of Heat and co.

i have some 4 of these for sale if anyone wants them, if not i may just make some keychains like the old senate ones. 58mm.

man, i HAD the biggest collection but i sold pretty much all of it now (thanks life with all your bills, debts, etc).. pretty much had every medium wheel brand new, including the rawest shane saviors ones with the illest graphics on a wheel known (PSYCHOPATH).. now all i have is a flat set up of the 98 DL’s… even had c notes in the packet.. but no worries, theyve all gone to good homes, i wouldnt pass on incredible shit like that to just anyone!!

Man i have so much stuff i could take pics of. Got pretty much the entire 1996 senate wheel line, few mdium, FR, Kryptonics, cozmo. Clothing wise ihave some pretty rare stuff… Senate “Superman” and “Halo” Hoody, Senate “Old English zip jacket, Senate “Kill” T-shirt, Black and Dark Blue Senate ultrawides.. (Im a big Senate fan!) I gotpretty much every poldschool video ever made, if anyone wants a copy of a old fav let me know.

ill get even more oldschool and classic for ya “OSBEE” this is was the bunique of it’s time anyone have anything osbee e-mail me and ill pay !!!!!! They mostly made clothes and grindplates. Ill never forget my sickkk osbee jeans. o and another throwback was those senate police looking jeans, the black with the silverstripe down the side, them shits were soooo tuff !
