RZR Flow – Brett Dasovic on the Icons2

Brett recently paid a visit to San Diego to pick up his Icons 2 skates from Razors. While he was out for a few days, he filmed us a little edit with Hawke Trackler.

Hawke = played out wana-be media guru.

for fuck sake, go to film school and learn how to edit a session in more than three ways. I, and many other skaters are sick of the repetitive edits from this fool. YOU ARE NOT JOE NAVRON, the days of average pc edits have long been over.

Hahaha. Where are your edits at? Thats right…nowhere…your just a internet shit talker. ha. Hawke is a fucking good editor, a great filmer and an even better friend, so before you even open your mouth, know what your saying. You don’t need film school, its just fruitbooting. And for the record, http://poo/ is not a website you tard. :) Lets see you get the respect and friendships that that kid does, and then maybe just maybe make an edit and show everyone your better then him…so step one, quit crying over the internet, and step two, don’t diss on something that was made really quick, and the entire session, we just kept laughing and saying “Haha, internet clips, internet clips.”

Hawke, me and Angela are gonna fly you out here this spring, for a few days or a week. You should make it!!! Hit me up on the space.

he doesnt need to make edits to rate someones editing abilities. it would be just like saying you cannot criticize a movie or not like or hate on it because you are not a filmer or director or what ever.

  7. mk Says:

oh I didnt know that going to film school was a qualification for making a rollerblading edit

and brett dasovic for Razor am!

  8. pom Says:

i think the new razor soulplate skates like the gay soulplate that came out on the randy spizer deshi. thats why it was such an achievement to hit a backslide in em in that edit

  9. dridri Says:

i think skate edits over all need a makeover, regardless of who makes them. how many times have you seen an edit that starts with a bunch of falls, then when the music hits the first beat, the skater lands a hammer, and the rest of the edit is nothing but tricks. i think there should be more creative music, more than just skating, and less fisheye in skate edits. i dont make edits though, im just talking

Personally i think when it comes to rollerblading everyone thinks that edits need to be flashy and have all kinds of motion graphics and cool editing tricks and tons of other shit like that to be a good edit
Now i know no one here cares but seeing as to how i film skate boarding as well and gotten a small reputation in the skateboarding industry and have seen how they manage to make every video that comes out with is pure genius.
The biggest thing is that i noticed is they do not over edit footage which is what we do way too much. It should all come down the filming being good in the first place without having to cover it up with shitty filters and whatnot.
Next is to start thinking of new ways to film such as using HD equipment, tracks, tripods for very steady shots, hell maybe even a steady cam which is what ty evans is now using to film his next video, shit is weird with all that shit strapped to him but its new and innovative which is how we need to start thinking.
Stick to not over editing and start filming in new creative ways and keep footage clean, well thats my two cents to try and help i know im gonna get some shit for this
In relation to Hawkes edit i think the filming was good and i can tell it was just something quick you made so thumbs up to you homie.

Oh and one more note; rollerbladers need to get rid of that shitty GL1 or 2 i dont know why everyone thinks its such an awesome camera. Everyone needs to get a vx1000 with a mk1 lense so much more depth and shots can be even closer and you dont cut off heads with it. Get and HVX with some p2 cards and trust me you wont be disappointed i just wish the mk1 could fit on that thing.
    Rollerblading for the win
