Wow. I loved it. Took us right back to the 80’s. To what it was like then. I had heard that the aggressive scene had started all since then but I had no idea what it looked like then. Many of you who once again see it will obviously make fun of it and will probably blame even our past for our underground status but you have to remember the true reason why we ended up underground. It wasn’t because of our past: it was because of our burst in popularity and our sudden appearance as an equal in the X Games scene since we hadn’t had a dedicated history in the first place and everything we did looked easy because…well they were. That was because we had just started out. BMX and Skateboarding were around for much longer and earned their cred because of years of struggling till it finally paid off. The aggressive scene didn’t get really serious until 1993 (correct me if I am wrong). I think a lot of you should try and research the history. Anyways I like the look back a lot. I still can’t believe that sideway surfing was the best way to pump bowls. Kind of reminds me of Lords of Dogtown. The skateboard scene in that movie was really soft and laughable but back then it was serious. Even the Dogtown and the Zboys Documentary which inspired the movie, is another example that back in any action sports past nothing was really cool until it grows up. So be patient and keep rolling going and it will get somewhere one day.

  12. Drew Says:

that was sick, the beginning of Rollerblading !
    now, that is Oldschool

  13. spector Says:

damn dis crab skating style is sooooo fuckin gay!
    could someone tell himn that?

  14. Garett Says:

That shit was awsome, all you kids callin it gay are idiots, look at those guys carve bowls and doing 540’s and full pipe rides before rollerblading even existed, you should welcome that with open arms, although we evolved at a later and different date we share alot of similatities with rollerskating. And it’s called “SPIDER STANCE” don’t you remember an Australian vert skater who skated like that all of the time? I guess you where probly 7 when he was competeing. There are still rollerskaters in Aus that carve huge bowls, all old schoolers from the early 80’s. Much respect, makes me happy to see somthing this oldschool that is so similar to rollerblading.

  15. Garett Says:

PS Spider Stance is the only way to rolerskate bowls and half pipes, they didn’t have plastic cuffs and support like we do, aka skating like that in a bowl is probly about 10 times harder than rollerblading it.

  16. Johnny5 Says:

All of you that hated on that are fucking stupid. Did you not see how progessed they were with the 540 and that last trick in that clear full pipe. That shit was sick as fuck and thinking how they postioned their legs to roll up to that. Crazy!! Stop hating on what was your past. If it were for them we would have what we have today.
