Rob have you tried skating the new RBs? I’m skating the solos at the moment, and honestly they are the best skates I’ve ever skated (with the exception of carbons, because I’ve never skated a pair).

what happend to a friend of mine was that the buckle for the ankle strap has torn off – just by missing a soulgrind on a ledge … thats so fucked up

i’m the only rob motherfuckers.
i like rollerblade skaters, but not their skates,
as for top hyser, man try and make some pretty skates with all those qualities, thats all you need to do man,
look at aragon 3′s, i know not everyone will feel them cos they’re white but they look the absolute bollocks (just try and deny that dudes), these on the other hand look retarded.
i’m sure they’ll still sell a boatload but if i had a new skate coming out (which i never will) it would look much more pleasing on the eye,
the second ones aren’t too bad,
still though, i love rollerblading and big up anyone who’s making rollerblades, if they were the only pair in the world id wear them…

To answer mitchell’s comment – no, I’ve never skated them and I believe skates are really good and I like their idea! ;) RB lost my respect when they fired their team time ago.. that’s not what you do for love to rollerblading, that’s something what you do for business! And RB seems to be nothing more than just business company. I don’t know how much they are paying ROB G for being in their team.. but should be much as he’s one of the most respectful guys out there.

i bet the skate good. but i think that 72 mm wheels is tooo big… maybe 62-66 tops.. also, why not make them BOTH velcros, not one velcro and one buckle…???

The Solo – Tribes or whatever they are are just a mess, too big, Didn’t Salomon already make the same mistake with the widebodies? IF RB kept refining the things that worked instead of putting completely redesigned crap they might do ok. The New Jack’s are pretty good, Thank god they use the plastic buckle instead of the stupid rattly breakable metal ones on the Solos. It’s also nice to see that the parts are replaceable on the New Jacks now (no where to buy parts though). If you want to make them better,m make a one piece smaller soul and do whatever else you can to lighten up the skate. As it is, it skates fine, just a tad to heavy.

The soul plates in no way skate like Salomon wide-bodies. And the quality of the new 72millis is significantly better than the previous model. I been riding the same set for over 6 months.

My buckle has already snapped off ! I Simply missed a soul stall on a vert wall and it caught the lip on the top and completely broke off lol 1st day! Tbh the buckles fuckin pointless anyhow! Buy aragon 3 i rec!

i`m skatin for nearly 10years now and must say the rollerblade solo skate and remz are the best skates i`ve skated and i`ve skated nearly every company except k2 and i mean look how many ugly skates are made by usd look at these yellow starships they produce or fuckin green skates and all you say fresh? reading your comments makes me feel ashame for bein a rollerblader

i have to say i didnt try the new rollerblades yet, but what makes me not even want to try them is:
- no spare parts available, soulplates, liners etc
- a ankle buckle thats completely out of place & completely unprotected. and please dont come up with “oh its so well protected with this little piece of shit polyurethane we glued beside the buckle”…

Typical skate review: all new this, all new that, this makes it fit good, this makes it slide good ; strap is also very good overall. What information does this word “good” give to the buyer, cmon you can’t just say a skate is good, you need to bring the minuses, negative arguments out also. There is no perfect skate.
