I like the New-Jacks’ look.
June 10th, 2009 at 4:53 pm
They look good. Who’s putting out Fiziks2, and when?
June 10th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
72mm wheels… isnt that a bit too big?
June 10th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
i like my solos but the buckle needs sorting out it falls off when hit to much. make it with a screw at the top and bottom.
June 10th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
New Jacks are pretty fresh…
But the green on the solos is pretty ugly… makes them look more like wal mart skates.
June 10th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
72 mm for the win. It makes my old knees feel good when jumping gaps, and I can roll over anything without getting tripped up. And no topsides are not harder. They are actually easier because of that massive soul plate. I’m really liking my Solo’s given I had major doubts about them.
June 10th, 2009 at 6:13 pm
same shit different colour.
June 10th, 2009 at 6:20 pm
OMG THEY LOOK LIKE ARGOS SKATES ! FUGLY !
June 10th, 2009 at 6:21 pm
Yeah I’m really feeling my Solo’s too they’re great skates. Don’t really give a shit about all the Rollerblade controversy. They’re well designed, well made skates.
June 10th, 2009 at 6:42 pm
i have bought my solo tribe in february they re really good sk8 but the shell after a few months is too flex and now my shell split where the buckle is fixed.can t skate them without buckle but don t care because now got carbons.
June 10th, 2009 at 7:02 pm
trs needs to come up with some new designs or just stop making skates altogether
June 10th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
…does this mean hyper is back in the game?
June 10th, 2009 at 7:12 pm
I think theyre still the fucking ugliest skates ive ever seen biggest bullshit
fuck rollerblade
June 10th, 2009 at 7:26 pm
Vraiment beau, j’aime bien l’allure “Old school” qu’ils ont. =O

DO NOT SUPPORT “ROLLERBLADE”
June 10th, 2009 at 9:40 pm
yea Will you are right, you shouldn’t support a company that started what we do at all
June 10th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
the new trs designs are childish and pretty lame. they need to take a fresh look at the color scheme for that skate. it could be really sweet. tribes are recreational skates with a soulplate. Thats what you get when big douchey corporations run companies and not skaters. support skater owned companies, they will guide our sport in the right direction!

“trs needs to come up with some new designs or just stop making skates altogether”
Really? The solo model is only in its second season, it’s one of the newest designs in the industry. If you can find a company that cranks out an entirely new model every year then you can hate.
Honestly, you all sound like a bunch of skateboarders, hating on “rollerblade” with no valid argument to back up why you hate it.

DUDE! we started this shit, they didn’t. we started by modding our own rec skates, we started coming out with grind plates (we meaning the skaters). they saw some revenue from the whole extreme thing and jumped on it.

DUDE! if you think these are new designs you are crazy, these are rehashed molds that didn’t improve anything, what the hell kind of backslide area is that?
really, RB just colours the skates differently and this is what you get.
RB has sucked since the dirks, since the boxcar, since the beginning. the only shining light was the first TRS models. since then it’s be recycle repeat recycle repeat.
FACT.
June 10th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
I’m not a ‘hater’ I am a realist. and these REALLY suck. I’m sure that you’ve gone out and bought RB and now you are justifying it.
the razors and remz and the majestic 12s (Valos) are the best skates we’ve had, now Deshi is stepping up their game, and USD has always been a solid base skate. why do we even need to be insulted by these ugly rec skate mutations.
June 10th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
i’m sick of hearing all this “support skater owned companies” bullshit. do you really think that any of these companies are solely owned by a person who’s never bladed? gimme a break. all the owners of the companies skated at one point in time, whether they do it now or not doesnt really matter. i dont know if any of you have noticed, but people dont get into rollerblading as a get rich quick scheme. and besides, from my experience, “skater owned” companies usually means late due dates, lack of innovation (which seems to be what all of you bitch about), and overpriced products. valo and nimh, which are the “skater owned” companies, have done nothing to push the technology of rollerblades. remz is the only skater owned company that i’ve seen come out with a truly different innovative design that’s different from what anyone’s ever seen.
June 10th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
the deshi cardon is a rec skate too, go on the powerslide website and look for the powerslide C4, its the carbon in blue.
Also, the new solo boot is a fantastic skate to skate, why waste money designin a new mold to keep ”no it alls” like you happy when they have a perfectly good mold already?????
if its light enough and strong enough to be a rec/urban skate, then its good enough to be used as an aggressive skate too.
clearly you dont know your history as the majestic 12 is the exact same mold as the boxcar, chocolate, trooper, menas, etc. all rollerblade skates.
if im right razors have released the jen mold in every colour under the sun, even poo brown and cream. hence the saying, if it sells, make it.
And to be honest, if it wasnt for corporate companies in rollerblading, it would have died a long time ago, as its them that have all the money in rollerblading, skater owned companies dont have enough money to keep this industry going.
so seriously, if you havent got anything good to say, dont say anything.
June 10th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
It’s a good skate design. You can’t knock this skate till you actually skate it. It’s very comfortable and comes in half sizes. The extra strap really prevents all heel lift and it very good for jumping gaps. The backslide area is not an issue. I could do all the groove tricks day one on these. Negatives are a breeze too. I love my Valos, but I really skate better on these.
June 10th, 2009 at 10:43 pm
People complaining about same skate different colors? Razors anyone?
June 10th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
@ sexy david, no one said: “support skater owned companiesâ€Â

Dude i thought they were leaving the trs line altogether so im pretty stoked . ive been rolling on trs estillos for 6 years and there still going stong . and without rollerblade this industry would have died in the 90s.
June 11th, 2009 at 1:30 am
Please modify the new models soul plate mold, at least ATTEMPT to make it look form fitted to the boot. Function over aesthetics only goes so far. And start making pro models RB. Let your damn riders decide upon colour schemes, not some half assed designer who has not one once of action sports know how in his entire body. These skates could look decent if you guys put someone else in charge of design.
June 11th, 2009 at 1:33 am
the new rbs are way sick. ive never had an easier time torquing on anything and how light and comfy they are. so ya support the skate cuz they keep putting out of fresh shit
June 11th, 2009 at 1:39 am
you can’t have a big industry without big buisness so in my opinion it’s contradicting to support small skater owned buisnesses and pray that rollerblading will ever blow up or become mainstream etc. which is what alot of people (not all) on here seem to be doing
buy what skates appeal to you and what fits your style whether it’s coporate or not. i, personally would never skate the solos but, if someone else likes them, to each his own
June 11th, 2009 at 2:13 am
rollerblade gave us what we have now. and ill go on a limb to say it was them that rollerblade on the map. all of us have in some way come to interaction with the rollerblade company. so dont hate.
June 11th, 2009 at 6:29 am
rb has seen better days their products just dont really compare
June 11th, 2009 at 8:46 am
that RB SOLO was fuckin UGLYYY!!!!!
omg..
what the hell are u RB company thinkin??!!
June 11th, 2009 at 10:29 am
…Rollerblade…the best skates ever!
June 11th, 2009 at 11:11 am
i skated deshi, usd’s , razors , remz , and rollerblade , now i skate rollerblade , i still havent skated the solos but they look like a great solid skate , hate however much u want on rollerblade , they’re still the biggest name in our industry and they have the most quality skates
June 11th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
I’ve test skated the solo, I am not making shit up, these skates are garbage. the buckle keeps coming undone and when you get low down it catches on ledges. also my friend who owns the test pair has gone right through the plastic on one foot and can no longer use them.
maybe the m12 was the same mold as the box cars, trs etc etc, but the m12 was way ahead of them. especially when they started coming out with the flat profile frame.
whatever to each their own, but these are ugly, and not that fun to skate. I like my Valos, they are heavy and the mold is hardly new, but they skate well and look good, so I am happy.
buyer beware is all I am saying, skate someone else’s pair before you drop a couple hundred on these.
June 11th, 2009 at 3:04 pm
those solos are the ugliest skates ive ever seen. id rather skate oxygen argons. i like the look of the trs models but this colorway is weaaaakkkk.
June 11th, 2009 at 3:35 pm
shut up, iv been on the same pair of solos for months, and there still amazing, the only thing the buyer has to beware of is people like you that havent got a clue what there talking about.
These skates are amazing to skate and very well made, as im sure alot of skaters on them will say this too.
as i said before, if you havent got anything good to say, dont say anything.
June 11th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
i (and alot of people) are waiting for something really good, new, woried about our sport from RB(they r a big company!!! fuck!). And…i’m sorry, but looks a little bit faaarrrrr way to happens… I have my usd, and i’m pretty happy with them, i’ll change, just when i have a propuse for it.
I’m doing this for a long time(some 13 years now)…getting old, and for me confort, weight and style are most relevant…ow, and a suport for who really did something good for the sport. So…again…RB u can do better, we are waiting…
June 11th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
The buckle does not come undone. Nor does it catch on ledges. It’s like skating a Xsjado without the extra bulk.
June 11th, 2009 at 5:57 pm
i agree with ”freerecording”……….
“if you havent got anything good to say, dont say anything.”
we should just give positive feedback and not critique horrible products created by large corporations.
so… in my opinion the new solos look really awesome! and are not just recreational skates with soul plates on them. what a high quality original product! im amazed with what rollerblade is doing and how they continue to innovate!
June 11th, 2009 at 10:37 pm
fuck rollerblade
June 12th, 2009 at 12:44 am
sexy d and jay c know whats up. so they kicked everyone off the team time and time again, Franky and Alex def. were loving those pay checks when skating for rb! all things come to an end. Just like one day Alex and Franky won’t be apart of the valo or remz team anymore. Also yes RB has some money and deserve it they been making skates forever. On the the whole rec skate mold etc etc. Yea its probally a rec mold with added sole plates etc.skates damn good. take your ufs Majestic 12 skate… this is your Valo skate with a skin. how about your razors cult shell… again just a NIMH skate when all is said and done. took a old shell and improved it is all. Carbons again idea came from a power slide speed skate prob.
June 12th, 2009 at 1:28 am
Luv the wht boot…still ridin point 8’s and about to get my tribes…still ill skate that wht boot…customize da shit out of it n call it “new swag” haha!
June 12th, 2009 at 8:48 pm
UGLY..ONE MORE TIME!!!WE DONT DESERF THIS;;PLEASE
June 19th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
i like the solo tribes… they seem to be the same as the other boot models.. color scheme is pretty sweet. i like the big frame n big wheel set up. good for park skaters. if i were to change one thing. i would switch the strap with the buckle. there seems to be some problems with the buckel placement
June 20th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
These might not be the best pictures but I can say these are some of the best looking skates on film and in person….. Not only that but the skates function way better than most blades. With the 45 degree ankle buckle, it literally makes the skate have zero heel lift, giving you more control than most bulky skates and makes the skate feel even lighter than it is. The Liners that come in all the RB skates are without a doubt the best liners that come stock in a skate out right now and is the only skate I know of that has a truly functioning shock absorber… I skated the same skates for about 5 years and honestly didnt think I could get down in the Solo’s, but I was way wrong, I skate better and harder than I ever have in my RB’s….. Soo Dont hate until you skate these blades, cuz you’ll probably skate better in em haha.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:07 am
fuck all the ppl thath hate rollerblade
