New Jack 4 With Removeable Cuff…Bang! Yo Mr. Tom Hyser, is New Jack 4 removable liner or not?

  6. puttade Says:

i think the swindler looks good, i remember – back in the day – maybe in 2001-2002, i loved it so much :).

that shit on the right looks like dirks. well almost

  8. rollerblading is gay Says:

i’ll go ahead and correct myself. it has that weird shit at the toe like dirks. lol

  9. Michael Says:

All New Jack odels had removable liner, this one will too. Blank frame is a nice addition, but apart from it, no major changes from last year Jacks, and you can get these discounted and buy any frame you like with spare money, so I wouldn’t wait.

Swindler is nothing more than modified Bladerunner Fury from last year.

Basically they changed souls, frame and cuff. Let’s hope they changed plastic too, because Furys, while good budget/beginner skate (cheap, you can put on them Carbon souls, and won’t go floppy in cuff area like Realms which cost more) were heavy because of cheaper plastic used in production.

I like RG3… good thing they decided to have one Solo model and do not creating 3-4 of them with price difference of 25-50 Euro… that didn’t make sense, really.

Also, let’s hope they will push New Jacks a bit more, portion of their AM team riders uses them and like more than Solo, solid skates but very under-appreciated. Not for me though, I have very slim feet and get horrible heel lift :/

    And now, ranting:

Third RG pro model in a row is a joke. We all know guy is amazing, but ffs, he already get two of them… and new model is not so different. Much like first one in terms of looks, apart from black straps and souls.

They should give pro-model to someone else. They have good riders in both US and EU teams.

And they should continue to produce SB model, they owe it to him for all these years of loyalty, while he got no recognition. Guys an OG and a legend and he had ONE pro-model while guys with less skill and balls had multiple in this industry…

  10. .............. Says:

So so heavy though! Too much weight on the feet for me. Oh and the soul plates just love to be snapped.

those rob g’s look like fitness skates aka fucking awful

  19. HAHAHAHA Says:

people say these skates are ugly and then go apeshit over carbons…i don’t get you people

  20. Anonymous Says:

What happened to rb? rollerblading stopped making money so they put souls on ugly as rec boots, wouldn’t skate these for free.

  21. Anonymous Says:

    Tim Franken pro model!!1!!~

  22. Michael Says:

I wonder when people will stop repeating this “rec boot” nonsense.

Solos were designed after Dirks… so Dirks were “rec” by any means?

They made boot flat heel, put thick shock absorber in there, and add new souls, Salomon widebody style… no, nothing in Solos have “rec” origin.

It’s true that Rollerblade do make freeskates using this boot without souls, but these are only by-product. First Solos came out in 2009, first Fusions came out in 2010.

Try the skate before you hate. Solos are great boot, have specific fit that is not for everybody, but so do other skates. One HUGE advantage of these is fact they have different shells for every size and half, which means your skates are never too big, no need to downsize.

And if you hate original souls so much, just put them on carbon ones, that’s even easier to do than with Salomons…

  23. Michael Says:

Also, aren’t Valos rec skates in skins? They have the same shell as rec skates Roces Rome… ;)

  24. Tom Hyser Says:

To be clear, the Solo boot used to be the Swindler molds back in the day. Which was one of the first aggressive skates. That skate fit so well we modified it to create a lighter version which is the Solo/Fusion skates. If you have skated a pair of Solo skates w/ Blank liners and frames you know they are amazing. We brought back the name Swindler for the new $149 price point skate. The idea is to get more kids into the sport with an inexpensive, and durable skate. We used the Fury mold and created a new cuff and liner for the skate. Also an all new soul plate, TRS frames w/ anti-rocker wheels and 60′s. Much lighter than the Fury skate. The Swindler name was just rad, so we decided to use it again. Nothing too tricky about it. A line of skates for styles and skating abilities.

  25. Domi Says:

Tom Hyser, if you read this, please reply. Will the souls of the Swindler be availabe separately for purchase? Also, something which is even more important, will they fit on salomon’s?
BTW, I had the swindlers back in the day. they were the comfiest skates ever! I rocked those liners in my following 2 skates. I love that you brought back the name

  26. Alustair Grey. Says:

I see RB couldn’t come up with a new name for that Solomon boot. So they called it the Swindler? And yet they won’t bring back a UFS CI-5 or Dirk aka the original Swindler boot. And lets not forget that horrid paw skate ether.

    Sad.

But that nonsense aside. I do actually like the Rob G boot. His boot and the trooper boot.

  27. patspang Says:

What no Sven Boekhorst skate……might be swithcing back to Valo then

  31. We need soulplates in France Says:

We don’t have solo soulplates in France, since more than one year!
    React! Do something!!! REACT!!!

  32. Anonymous Says:

Do you guys realize that availability of soulplates

  33. Anonymous Says:

depends on skateshops and local RB distributor, right??

  34. Tom Hyser Says:

The Swindler soul plates will be available in the USA. As Anonymous said “Availability of soulplates depends on skateshops and distributors” As far as other countries go, I’m not 100% sure at the moment. I would guess that the major Euro online shops will also carry soul plates for this skate. The current RG2 skate and the RG3 skate feature a new material in the soul plate. Longer lasting, better grind, and stronger. The new Solo soul plates are available now in black.

  35. hugo Says:

my local shop don’t carry RB anymore because we haven t got any soulplates in a year. Never had cuff or Blank liners too. It s sad for RB because now we don t buy anymore street or fitness or any speed skate from Rollerblade.
I think you need to do something with your distributors because we can’t sell your products if you don t carry the removable part.

  36. Anonymous Says:

Need straps and soulpaltes in Switzerland too! Straps destroy too fast, i have to put pieces of leather belt.

  37. French Ki$$ Says:

    @Tom Hyser

Can Swindler Soul Plate put at Solo Skates Model?

  38. Markus Says:

    2013 ? I want them now !!!!!!!

  39. Markus Says:

Its hard to get soulplates in Germany too! Do something for Europe

  40. Anonymous Says:

Hedonskate had Blank liners and Solo souls this year, but it’s true these are hard to get :/

In Poland, Rollerblade distributor aka Fordex, sucks… they don’t see necessity to offer spare parts for aggressive models and have almost no clue about skating in general.

Souls availability is low and they are overpriced (I would pay less ordering a set in thisissoul.nl + postage, than going to stationary hedonskate shop and buying them there!!!), we never had “My Rollerblade” cuffs. Straps, buckles, cuff screws are nearly impossible to get. Not to mention Switch or Blank frames…

And it seems it is like this for rest of Europe… :/

  41. Anonymous Says:

I really believe they should develop that swindler skate into a proper professional standard boot made of the best plastics, and it would be amazing.

  42. .Fx Says:

Saw them bladerunners last weekend, their looks and weight reminded me of Grycons…which is not really good for a modern skate. Although the souls on the Schwindlers seem to be a nice improvement.

Althought the New Jack’s a pretty decent skate, this colorway is too weird for my taste. And yeah, a Sizemore boot is way overdue. Second SB model would be nice too, but ofcourse you don’t play all your cards in one turn.

  43. Anonymous Says:

Love to see the Swindlers, a nice solid skate for people without the $$ to get something higher up. Good grove, soul, and frames. Don’t care if it looks like Salomons. Infact that just makes me think of Chris Farmers VG 19 section.

  44. Michael Says:

After closer look, Swindlers do look slimmer than Furys. Might be good competition to USD VII… I always have soft spot for “underdogs” that most people tend to ignore, I might give this skate a try. At worst case, I’ll make a backup powerblading/freeskate setup out of them.

  45. Anonymous Says:

RB are going backwards… bringing back Salomon style. Which i guess could be a good thing… BUT what ever happened to the old TRS :( personally id never consider RB anymore.

  46. hugo Says:

HYSER don’t reply anymore ??? lol
Rb you do it wrong, the more sad is you have good bladers in your team..
distribution system gonna kill your brand.
