I went into a Big 5 sports store the other day and saw this roces skate that looked exactly like a salomon st-80. Only difference was it said roces on the side. It wasn’t this skate, I think it was called the element 2 or something like that.

roces has a history of buying other companies old molds. the M12 = RB tarmac. this is the bladerunner mold, RB most likely sold the molds to roces. They have been talking about a new skate for about a year and were calling it the element 5, this is it i guess. I expected better.

i also heard from someone that roces buyed the design from salomon 2 create a new updated model
… but i think you cant call is updated this is really fucking up the clean salomon design because i really liked salomon

this is not the salomon skate- it is a generic copy/knock-off made by a factory in china and licensed by roces and bladerunner(RB) as their price-point/big-box-store skate.

Of fuckin course roces is not dead its just ‘relaxed’ its contribution to aggressive rollerblading/whatever u want to call it. Roces has made and will continue to make tonnes of money from the fitness, speed skating and recreational side of rollerblading

I used to love Roces 13 years ago. But they should stop making skates. Its a waste of there money. If they still want to be in this industry they should create something new. They are probably thinking that our industry is dead and there is no money to be made. I mean look a Valo’s, its a M12 boot with a new skin over it. Boring.

Mmm I use to want some white majestic 12 pair…. But I buyed a pair of Roller Vlade Boxcar (in my early days) because they were so much cheaper and I was just starting…
After those I buyed a pair of K2 Fatty pro, they were awesome at my time… I skate those pair for about 5 or 6 years !!!! (not every day but form time to time…)
They died cracked in the half part of the frame… I use sto skate them with out cuff xD (broke it and never buyed a replacement)…
Now I’m on USD Aaron Feinberg 03 and sooner with Remz 0703 (I hope)…
By this story I’m talking about the time and the evolution of the skates… but roces just stayed the same… Never evolved… The skate es just the same as a tarmac, majestic and salomon put toghether in one pair of skate…
I belive that those skate might be good for half pipes… But truly, I wouldn’t buy a thing that first looks like from 10 years ago, second, they look hard as f*ck, third thet are ugly as a hairy ass h*le, and fourth the just doesn’t had a good space for grinds or souls… (put the fourth as first)…
Damn… that mas extense xD… Well thats it…

i roll salomons and never had the problem with the “narrow” space to lock a grind, if you can’t lock then you can’t grind just start learning grinding with a little less then the wings companies like to put under their boots these days…
