R.I.P. Vertigo Skatepark & Skate Plaza (May 07)
Over Memorial Day weekend we took a trip to skate Vertigo Skatepark one last time and also visited the infamous D.C. Shoes Skate Plaza in Kettering, OH.
It was sad seeing the piles of wood that was once Vertigo as they were beginning to tear down everything.
Most of us came away with some sweet souvenirs from the stencils that decorated the park for this years Bitter Cold Showdown; which made the whole trip worth it.
Gary and Brian made the most out of the additional lumber laying around the park but you will have to wait to see those clips. At the Skate Plaza Don and Brian were able to quiet all the skateboarders pretty quickly and give them an answer to the question, “Why would you film rollerblading with a VX?” Check out all the leftovers from the weekend in the edit as well as a farewell from Vertigo owner Mark Yoo.

If I would win millions of €. I woul re-build this skatepark and the Skatefactory from germany /Essen at the same place and in the same way. Both skatparks of them made so much for rollerblading.

the park was really nice. im an ohioan. the start box was nice and the long 8ft quarter and the long kink ledge were nice. everything else sorta sucked. but fun times. jimmy hake lived/worked there. mark (owner) i guess wasnt feeling his get rich quick scheme would work so he sould the wood and the builing to this place called bounce around. a little kid inflatable playground thing. sucks ass. chenga and the flow are the only other good parks in ohio that are indoor

I work there and right now business seems to be doing pretty well so there isnt the threat of shutting down.
