As far as we know, he’s only the 2nd person in the world to land this trick, the other being Eito Yasatoko.

Rich and Eito YasUtoko aren’t the only ones able to land this trick.
Don’t quote me on that but to be fair, I believe there are also Marco de Santi, Shane Yost, Marc Englehart, and others who can land that trick… even Taïg Khris.

Guys. bladers around the world. We again have been disrespected by skateboarders. My buddy was watching a new Vitamin water drink commercial today and they now sponsor a hateful skateboarder. Danny way who in the commercial disses Inline by saying” while you’re wasting your time inlining, I’m learning new trick on the mega ramp”. that’s disrespectful to do and is another source the skateboarders are using for anti-inline propaganda. Come on, to use it in a worldwide commercial that is geared towards people between 10-40. That’s super disrespectful and we need to boycott vitamin water at every event until they get him kicked off for saying such a disrespectful thing. Our war in the skateparks should never reach the media and with guys like Danny, Rob, Tony Hawk and others, they’re waging a huge war that will only end up ugly. so lets hit them where it hurts since they’re not mature enough to let it be, and that hurtful place is their wallets.

Yep. You’re right and I could care less for their respect. What I do care about is the sponsorship and the brainwashing that goes along with saying that shit on national TV. It’s like the Tony Hawk games. Enough people watch it or pay attention to it and subconsciously it takes hold. I figure we boycott the shit outta vitamin water and get our guys onto another brand, like their main competition and support that. Get some of our guys on tv to do the same thing cause this whole ignoring thing has it now where as there’s not a skate park around with anything designed for us, kids think that we have shoes with wheels instead of a skate made for aggressive. and American movies portray the bad ass as a skateboarder, even though asian films only use us and bikers, the american media is so powerful that you must respect it.

The simple matter is that I could soul grind a curb and it would have more finesse than any double back flip ever. Thats the bottom line and thats also what determines a pro from non-pro’s, lets face it most kids theses days can bust most tricks that pro’s can, and yet they remain stumped and frustrated because they can’t understand why they don’t get sponsorship. The answer for all those little kids like you guys is simply, its about quality and finesse, not quantity and goofy looking shit. Learn from this and you yourself may aspire to greater things in your life.

I can flip and grind. Guys lay off him. He’s apparently a pure street skater who doesn’t realize the danger in doing any flips what so ever. I disagree about his opinion but never the less it’s his opinion. As disrespectful as it may be. Rich is the first white guy on rollernews to do something that the yasutokos do all day long. I believe the reason it’s on here is cause this is normally their area of expertise. It’s good to see someone else trying to progress themselves and our sport. I think some flips are gay but others are totally dope. The phillip 66 flip is gay, yet rodeo is sick and etc.. What he says is hurtful to those who know Rich, and more so to those like myself who actually do flips, yet he’ll never know until he actually does them himself of the power a flip has in of itself.

Rich may not be like the 10th, but he isn’t the second for sure.
