Predictions anyone? The only one I got is Julio for Hall of fame. They all deserve it in fairness, but he has done so much and keeps doing so much all the time I think he should get it.
Section of the year is stupidly close. All those sections are SICK!!! They should make a mini DVD with just those sections and sell it cheap. I’d buy it.

my prediction is julio not for hall of fame,
ok i am a fan of what he has done for the industry but arlo has been doin shit for years, comps, clothing artwork. artwork
Do u wear valo by any chance?
i say edwards or eisenberg for that, something in the force tells me edwards will take it

Soichiro Kanashima, Chris Haffey, Brian Aragon, Richie Eisler (most underrated), Jon Julio (leagues above the rest in that list in terms of both skill and work done for the community)
August 13th, 2007 at 2:10 pm
gona be fuckin close thats for sure.
August 13th, 2007 at 2:13 pm
why cant they just ALL get into the hall of fame. they all deserve it.
rookie is schwab
best section is either haffey or schwab.
August 13th, 2007 at 2:19 pm
fuckin chris haffey chris haffey and let me think chris haffey lol
August 13th, 2007 at 2:30 pm
rookie-schwab hands down. otherwise it would be arias but he is kinda past rookie with how long he has been arround.
section- bailey sick sick sick skating, haffey runner up
us pro- toss up between haffey bailey and aragon, my guess is aragon
international-eisler should get it but it will prolly be sands
hall of fame-latimer deserves it, give credit where credit is due. but same goes for julio…

All of the people on the list are worthy and well-deserving, or else the wouldn’t have been nominated. But the way I see it, these guys just stand out a little bit more…
Rookie: Jeremy Spira (he’s insanely underrated and has sick style)
Section of the Year: Haffey ( That section was just pure madness)
Skater of the Year: Franky ( He’s been down for rolling since before most of us even put wheels on our feet and he’s held it down this year.)
Int. Skater: Richie Eisler ( Hands down this guy is the most underrated skater out there. Credit where credit is due.)
Hall of Fame: Julio (I’ve met him and his attitude is one to respect. He’s done so much for this industry, and plus he’s got a dang fine company.)

What happened to the retailer of the year award? Did they stop it because of last year’s tie? Speaking of retailers, how come ignition tied with revolution last year? Isn’t igntion a bit crappy? I mean they don’t have bearings for pete’s sakes.
August 13th, 2007 at 4:25 pm
well i cant tell u what has happened to the retailer award but i can tell u that ure completelly wrong with what ure saying about ignition!!!
i think i dont need to explain…everyone who has been there will tell u the same….its fuckin amazing!!!
just check:

No I don’t wear Valo, and they all deserve to go into the Hall of fame. It’s just that Julio is still involved really heavily in rolling. He’s still skating, making sick sections, touring and everything else that comes with running a skate brand. Everyone else has left the scene a little except Jon Elliot (who I reckon will deserve it in a couple years time if he keeps Rat-tail and GC going). If Arlo and Edwards were still involved, the descision would be even harder to make.
Now I’ve made this prediction it probably will go to Edwards.

1 shwab or dalnas
2 shwab accidental
3 haffy
4 sands
5 chris edwards cause he pretty much is responsible for our entire sport (did the first grind) was on the cover of the first daily bread had the first pro skate, helped create all the first deascent skates, he can flip over a car, and plus if uv ever met him hes actually a really nice person and is still willing to try almost anything
August 13th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
Hall of fame: Dustin Latimer, i think that he is the modern icon of our sport, but in this category anyone could be the winner, Edwards, Arlo…i dont know….definitly schawb is the rookie of the year, in the section of the year i think that CONNOR OBRIEN in theach them well must be nominee…international skater Cosimo Tassone just look this guy in Valo 2, is amazing…and US skater BAILEY or STOCKWELL
August 13th, 2007 at 5:53 pm

US Skater of the year.. Brian Aragon..

August 13th, 2007 at 6:38 pm
well if chris farmer doesn’t win the video profile of the year then i hate this industry more than i thought i did
and if eric bailey wins anything i will simply quit rollerblading
August 13th, 2007 at 7:46 pm
Nice
August 13th, 2007 at 9:05 pm
……Ok……Maybe a lack of bearings is bad justification to hate on a shop so I’ll take that back but its pretty fucked up that Ignition didn’t stock up on their bearings since July! I’ve already completed my shopping list of a Deshi Ch1 and new Type M frames and Ignition could’ve won a new customer and hundreds of more referrals had they got those DAMN bearings in STOCK! And since when did Soichiro Kanashima become a rookie? And how the hell did Erik Bailey’s section get in there?! Cosimo Tassone, Ross Kuhn, and Soichiro completely murdered Bailey on We Are Valo 2.
P.S
Last year, when they had the retailer of the year award, did they mean the brick and mortar shop or did they include the online shop aspect? I’ve never ordered from Ignition before but my buddy got his stuff from Revolution and he said the service was the bomb. Cheap shipping rates and fast delivery.
August 13th, 2007 at 9:58 pm
Chris Farmer needs to win the best video section award, the tricks he does in that far surpass anything I have ever seen any other rollerblader do.
August 13th, 2007 at 11:13 pm
david sizemore should be rookie of the year by far. he’s placed good in a lot of major comps and he skates consistent and hard all the time.
August 14th, 2007 at 2:39 am
I think that most the international skaters are underated. That Soichiro kid And Cosimo Tassone both had amazing sections in we are valo 2. Everything I see Richie Eisler skate gets killed and same for Chaz Sands.
Oli Short is sick, but I’m not sure about his style since he went all punk. He has had a lot of coverage lately however which is always good thing and has been involved in a lot of stuff in the uk like Kindom Mag and the Kindomination tour which was good.
It’s all too close…
August 14th, 2007 at 2:44 am
soichiro chris farmer brian soichiro jon julio
August 14th, 2007 at 3:41 am
JEREMY SPIRA!!!!
August 14th, 2007 at 4:56 am
Schwab, Farmer, Haffey, Eisler, Latimer
August 14th, 2007 at 6:06 am
on the serious tip, i vote for anyone and everyone who gets up, gives it there all and goes and does what i love most and that is fucking rollerblade
August 14th, 2007 at 1:33 pm
Richie Eisler is the maaaan! I love his smooth alley-oop soul haha! So underrated rollerblader though :(
August 14th, 2007 at 3:02 pm
Lol Ogre_King. Just how in the holy hell did Bailey’s section get nominated? Anyway, ignition has bearings again although I’m also pissed that they ran out of m1 urethane wheels. Oh well, I guess that gives me more time to save up.
August 14th, 2007 at 4:19 pm
Damn Valo does run shit. Look at all the nominations their pros have bagged.
August 15th, 2007 at 12:51 am
i’m sorry but hasnt victor been around for a while now? isnt that a bit insulting to call him a rookie, ben schwab as well (if anyone has seen Brain fear gone). this shit is pretty dumb and half thought out.
August 22nd, 2007 at 1:26 am
farmer should definatly win the video section,
his tricks and the editing/clips are so amazing.
September 27th, 2007 at 5:56 am
Go Richie!
