Remz HR 1.1 (High Resilience)

Remz HR 1.1 (High Resilience)

Remz developed a new generation of skates which addresses the problem of many soft boots: the softening and loss of support after a while of use.

The new Remz technology solves the issue by incorporating high end non-stretch composite materials into the fabric, which effectively eliminates stretching and give over time. The result is a much firmer fit and the skate will maintain its performance after long periods of skating.

The HR 1.1 uses high end imported fabrics which were exclusively developed for Remz and offers a host of new details, unique fabrics, structures and design elements. Freedom-of-feet approved for your enjoyment.

I am interested to see the thoughts about this. I don’t think they look bad at all. Seems like a logical improvement for them to make.

  2. DarthRoller Says:

It would be nice to own a pair of Remz that don’t become floppier than Jordan’s flange lips after 6 months, especially as they’re such an awesome skate before they give up the ghost and die.

  3. Anonymous Says:

I wonder if the skin good

  4. Scherf Says:

they skate way better than the previous boots in terms of support and durability. the liners are amazing and keep your foot nice and snug.

make sure you get a pair.

I’ve never heard so much vague marketing B.S. in all my life… and I’ve seen all of the RAZORS ads colouring new skates differently and claiming a revolution…

It’s probably got a bit of plastic in… well who cares if it skates great. What a load of crap on the marketing front though

  9. pop me Says:

I bet the “new material” is still a cheap piece of shit.

Instead of focusing on how shitty the boot flexes (which it does), Remz really needs to design a new internal liner system. One that’s way more comfy and supportive.

  10. JIMaica Says:

the thing that makes a skate ‘highly resilient’ to me is how strong the soulplates are, sure the skin is important in the skate looking good but the shouldve thought about improving the soulplate, thats the only thing that i dislike about remz :(

YESS. every skate company releases the same old shit in different colours with a new piece of plastic stuck on. this is why i nevEr buy skating clothes, dvds or anything. YOU CANT POLISH A TURD

  12. RJ Says:

    well…remz did a great job….with 03 one boot…then everything went DOWN….for me…shitty skin….hole in skin where buckle is…….MY OPINION….
    that is like 5-6 years old…..dont know anymore….but still….u need a better skin!!! TRUE LEATHER….strong !!!!
PLUS u should do a skate with different mold…totally new skate!!!!!!!!!!!

I was tempted to bring up razors coloring their skates in my initial post, but this has to be ahead of that. At least they are trying strengthen up the skate.

Besides, Remz already cost $250. for the boot only. How much would you like to pay for a pair of skates to become bored with and bitch about three months later. Look at skateboarding…have you noticed any major renovations on the skateboard lately? Fucking retarded. You little fucks aren’t going to stop bitching until the skates jump on a rail and grind for you. Boo hoo.

  16. a;skdjfa;sldkjfa;s Says:

I think rollerblades are pretty fucking nice right now. They are a hell of a lot better than oxygen argons and bauer frontsides.

  17. FINCH Says:

    these are fresh! real nice

  18. okie Says:

I got to skate some about a month ago and they were the best Remz I have skated. Really thinking about these instead of new Xsjados.

  19. zach Says:

fuuck.. i want these isntead of the 2.0! I liked the 09ones better.. and this is like an improved and better looking version of the 09ones/twos

I kind of agree with this dude, I got the 03 01les and I have had other models since but still skate my 03s, they were so perfect. These just seem to “busy” for the freedom of feet concept. I thought they would work on the new shape not go over old models. Nice looking skate though. I actually found the best way to skate remz is with a slightly highly liner inside, I used the USD Hooi throne one and it gave just that little bit extra support whilst retaining the low cut flex.

  21. Doug Says:

I like Remz – both the company and the skates… but, yeah – the text is just a little over the top. Imported fabrics? What does it mean? I’m assuming the skates are make in china with components sourced from wherever makes sense economically. Surely it’s all sort of imported from somewhere. It just feels a little dishonest – you’ve got a great product – so no need to stretch the marketing so far – you risk losing the integrity that I think maybe sets you apart right now.

  22. filip Says:

higher liners kato get on it! also having a basketball-like skin on the outside isnt going to make remz flop any less after about 2-3 months, thats more of an internal structure issue

  23. dizzy Says:

Yeah they are being so ambiguous. I mean imported fabrics is a new improvement? Importing a product doesn’t definitively mean it’s good or bad.

  24. a;skdjfa;sldkjfa;s Says:

I can’t wait for a skate company to have the balls to just release a skate with no description. That would provide true entertainment for me. Then everyone could complain about the dynamics of that marketing scheme. There are some sweet weekend-warrior philosophers on rollernews.

Dizzy, do you have a problem with the skate or with the marketing scheme? I really don’t go to rollerblading for higher academia purposes; that’s what scholarly journals are for. You can debate the integrity of every marketing scheme or press release for any product. What do you want Kato to say? “This is the same skate that everyone has loved and Chris Haffey has represented for years now. We put a little bit of new fabric on the outside, which is neither a good or bad thing, and that will be floppy, like the traditional remz, after roughly three months.”

I am not sure how much money it takes to build a completely new skate, but I am guessing it is quite a bit. Everyone bitches about the big companies when they get involved in rollerblading, but they have the money to bring something new to the table. Then, when they do (did), everyone bitches about rollerblading selling out and that they only want to buy from the “real” companies. Well, here you go with your real companies. Now bitch about your lack of selection.

if you remember the old remz skin ( the non ufs ) , that’s way more durable than the sking remz uses today>. hope they bring it back

“if you remember the old remz skin ( the non ufs ) , that’s way more durable than the sking remz uses today>. hope they bring it back”

No it wasn’t. People just skate harder these days. Nostalgia is affecting your memory Timmy!

  27. a;skdjfa;sldkjfa;s Says:

Take the negative and the postive however you would like. This thread has had more to do with rollerblading than any edit has provided. Thank you to everyone involved in this one.

  28. filip Says:

these will get floppy too. just watch
