thats my boy marat.!
May 14th, 2009 at 6:26 pm
It looks like a standard UK dvd with no style to it, kinda like a bunch of online edits.
May 14th, 2009 at 6:35 pm
yep that is true expect more from cult leaders
May 14th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
I agree with the two comments above but in their defence these guys are not proffessionals so its not going to be amazing, its just a little local project. JHV I am also looking forward Cult Leaders, Looks like a banger.
May 14th, 2009 at 7:21 pm
Fare play guys enjoyed that.
The thing is it really would not matter if these guys had been the best videographers/professional editors. The time spent editing to the standards you all “expect” is ridiculous.
Talking from a work vs finacial stand point i wouldn’t bother spending my valuable time pleasing a small number of internet criticizing numbers who probably would never buy the dvd anyway.
May 14th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
yes this was a local project and not ment to be taken on the same level that cult leaders is.. i would disagree this the comment that its like a bunch of online edits with no style, i dont see how you can make such a judgment about the video without viewing it all. But thanks alot SI Medlicott for pointing out the obvious, we are rollerbladers who do this for fun, we do what we do to the best of our ability but having fun is the main point of it all and this video deff reflected that. we did this project for us and if some people enjoy it when all online thats great, if there are some that dont its no skin off my back or anyone els who was involved.

Does cult leaders look better than this?? I think this vid looks pretty good. I think Galwas would be as good as the guys in cult leaders from what I have seen
May 14th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Easily as good as this “cult leaders” I would hardly say there trailer is showing that they’re pushing the boundaries of Editing or production. what you lot really need to look out for is myself’s and Stu Kinghorns New DVD, Entirely shot in HD. Trailer will be up soon.
May 14th, 2009 at 9:05 pm

the soundtrack is awesome aswell.
May 14th, 2009 at 11:42 pm
portas……….the many years and time spent on cult leaders will not only ensure that it is a dvd that exceeds the qaulity of this or any other uk dvd out there….the only thing this has in common with cult leaders is the locallity and relinquished only sold like 10 copies… what galwas bought some discs from tescos and tried selling it for 12 quid iam sorry thats not gonna work….the galwas fist pump will not triumph
May 14th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
geoffd::: the whole reason the cult leaders trailers are fucking good is because they do not do the same thing that every other trailer does which is completely spoil the best tricks…..you will see the dvd and realise
May 15th, 2009 at 12:07 am
good editing and filming, skating was ……
May 15th, 2009 at 8:27 am
Geoff D, I’ve seen your work and i’ve seen a bunch of edits on the Vimeo page of the guy who made the cult leaders trailers. Not saying your stuff is bad but his production is consistently so professional even though he still shoots with an SD Cam and you got a HD camera. That actually shows raw talent, he doesn’t need HD to sell his work. Thats a narrow minded comment you made though, I didnt think Cult Leaders was out yet, so how can you judge it? If it is out and you have seen it, then you are entitled to your opinion and fair play. May i ask where you got it from as i have been waiting to see it for ages!? Portas, its doesn’t take much to see even based on the trailer that Cult Leaders looks a lot better than this DVD. Im looking forward to the style and creativeness – the two best things about skating.
May 15th, 2009 at 8:32 am
eh average
May 15th, 2009 at 8:57 am
stu:: cult leaders is in the duplication stage/sorting out the menu etc it will be available very soon
May 15th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
To Geoff:
Are you releasing your dvd on Blueray ? or are you going to spend all that time and money making an “entirely HD” movie then push it out at SD ?
and from your comments im looking forward to your video pushing all the bounderies as detailed above.
Also how can you compare this to cult leaders that isnt even out yet ???
May 15th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
JHV I am not saying that this is better than cult leaders, cult leaders will be far better as Harry has put more time, effort, patience and money into his video than I have not to mention filming some of the best rollers in the country. I think your comment was a little unfair, we just put this video together as a little fun and an attempt to push our skating further. The dvd sold around 50 copies and I did not buy the discs from tesco. Whats this about the fist pump? Gap that set of stairs in my section and see if you roll away without displaying any signs of relief.
May 15th, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Well responded !
May 15th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
Just saying we dont use cameras that were the new technology when you were still running around in nappies. Havent seen the dvd yet but i was referring to the trailer and my comments weren’t to criticize at all, just a comparison between the trailer and relinquished sections . No blu ray here dawwwg, that shit is way to expensive and not too many people have the players yet. Our DVD will be of fantastic quality and showcase some great rollerblading. Myself and Stuart have spent a fair amount of money on good equipment and have travelled far and wide to bring something that will hopefully push the boundaries for a dvd produced in the UK.
May 15th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
iam not being unfair when did i ever say this video was bad?? i just said expect more from cult leaders
May 16th, 2009 at 9:55 am
Geoff D – Why the attitude? Trying to make people jump on your sh*t because you have a HD camcorder and because you say its going to push the boundaries. So your not releasing it on blueray, The difference between SD footage onto an SD DVD and HD onto a SD DVD – Not much. If your DVD’s going to be as good as you say it is, then why not let your trailer talk for you rather than attempting to put down what looks set to be an amazingly well produced UK product from a bunch of really talented rollerbladers. You should be supporting each other and good UK projects like this, Not trying to grab a couple of extra sales by making judgements on something you haven’t even seen- I rollerblade to get away from bullsh*t like that.

STU –
I’m normally not one for childish internet slagging matchs but what the hell. Not much of a difference, are you an idiot….have u seen barely dead?. I mean the BBC have been using XM1s for years in order to bring you TV that will match the HD and Digi Beta cams quality ….right? I mean why do they film in these superior formats when you’ve only got/had an SD tv for the last 16yrs of your life to display it on.
Come back to me when you’ve been rollerblading for as long as me, when you have your degree in Multimedia Production and you work in the video production business. And when youve spent the last 2 years travelling the world….and i mean the world in order to gather some good footage.
peace out stu
May 18th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
you did a fist pump on every other trick
May 26th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
anyones whos seen galwas section will know that he shits over pretty much 90% of the sponsered rollers in the UK..id say his and sam coopers sections are easily worth the asking price for the DVD.
and ill be lookin out for your dvd geoffd ;P
