Razors UK: Glasgow edit
A Razors UK edit featuring Chaz Sands, Dan McLaren, Scott Quinn (Quinny) and a bad fall from Andy Spary.
This was all filmed in one weekend in Glasgow on a Sony Z1. The track is ‘Terror’ by Jedi Mind Tricks off the album ‘A History of Violence’.
Filmed by Stew Game, Chaz and Quinny. Spary was knocked out after the fall and had to be taken to hospital where he stayed for about a week, he’s all good now though.
The clips are from 2008.

that was SO boring.
you all look the same, are you still too scared to be yourselves?
and if that if being yourself and not copying the next person with razors then you are very bland.
no style at all.
the only person who deserves to be on UK razors is Mike Welland + Sparay.
there are so many more people worthy of being on the team than these people.
compare UK nimh/xsjado/rollerblade/usd to these.
all so different, unique, stylish.
these guys are as boring as it gets.

Actually i really liked it. Everything there was solid and smooth, just cos its not an american style of skating doesnt make it boring; just look at how many of the nimh/xsjado riders world wide have practically the same style. If you grow up skating the same scene then you’re bound to enherit some of the same style. Even if you didnt like the style some of the tricks were A* topsoul 360 topsoul ao soul, dont see much better than that anywhere.

Scott Quinns tricks were too legit, proper topsides done in the proper manner, none of this step on or standing up with floppy ankles shit, boned from the knee! I still don’t love his style though, the rest was boring aside from Quinny.
Although I think I’d have to attribute the dull and bland look to the dull and bland light that comes from dull and bland British weather. If the same shit was being done at the same spots but with a bright Cali sunshine it might not have looked so depressing. I hate UK weather.

Every single rider in this edit was (is) dope, mad style and skills. As a french skater, I’ve always loved how the UK scene was killing everything, not as much into polemic, style, fashion as everywhere else, just focused on inline skating and having fun. I may be wrong, but since Chris Doughty, Frazer watson, Leon Humphries (etc…) to those guys, that’s the impression I have.

nah it all comes down to shitty funding to do shitty filming with shitty cameras and shitty angles i think the camera on my fone has better quality. all them skaters are sick heads they just never get shot proper – this is mostly a reflection of razors uk organisation or parent. these guys are pros flows etc and they arnt getting the right coverage, if razors had half a clue they wouldnt let it happen but they do, continuously. its not like we speak a different language to the american parent company. Lazy management = good skaters made to look shit and broadcasted on the web weekly. (check there site thats been fucked and not sorted out for over a year)
