January 8th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
look a bit chunky but still nice… looks like the souls and backslide plates are more durable than the genesys ones which is good coz the genesys ones dont last that long.
January 8th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
that’s just a melt of genesys and cult skates
January 8th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
i have seen the boot at the xmasjam in hamburg germany ist realy hot
January 8th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
thats them there was a really good pic of a kid skating them put up on be-mag for like a hour before it got removed because the kid wasnt supposed to post them. Then theres that pick of brent hicks wearing a older prototype of them but looks just about the same. I cant beleave you all just noticed that pic anyway its always been in the intro for their pod casts
January 8th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
I noticed that picture on my friend’s Icons when he got them.
If thats the new boot mold, it looks’ hot - much, much more durable and stronger looking.
January 8th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
I just wish the soulplates are as fast as the genesys ones cuz the genesys soulplates were the fastest soulplates ive ever used..
January 8th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
yeah razors has no need to change tha boot design….it was perfect in every way.they have masde enormous improvements on tha skate since tha first genesys bot model.

January 9th, 2008 at 12:23 am
People REALLY need to read this……
When will you little fuckin kids realize that since you have to make skates in many sizes (unlike bmx and boarding), having to continually make new molds costs hundreds and thousands of dollars, WHICH is money that PRO skaters should be making. Its because of all you little bitches complaining about wanting something that LOOKS new and different that causes all the companies to waste their money trying to compete with each other by making newer molds. If you faggots just were happy with what is out there and works completely FINE, then the SKATE COMPANIES COULD ACTUALLY PAY THEIR RIDERS, PROMOTE BETTER ON TV, AND HAVE MORE BIGGER BETTER EVENTS. But nooo. you kids wanna bitch every time razors or a skate co. comes out with a new model and its not a new mold. THAT IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS SKATING ISNT GETTING BIGGER AND PROS LIKE LATIMER HAVE TO QUIT. You dont see skateboarders bitchin about there not being a new board shape everytime. WHY? Because IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT, INSTEAD PAY YOUR FUCKIN RIDERS. Soooooooo. STOP BITCHIN AND GO OUT AND SKATE. I started to skate in 1993 in Bravoblades for god sake and you fuckin spoiled brats start with GENESYS but it isnt good enough? Please grow up, dont complain, so they can REALLY COMPENSATE a pro like Haffey instead. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, & THANK YOU for your time.
January 9th, 2008 at 12:24 am
grow up boris,or actually attemp to get your own nudes, numb fuck.
im not sure what i think yet, wait till i see them done
point is though, im starting to get impatient, and those new remz look soooo nice!
hurry! haha
January 9th, 2008 at 12:28 am
in a way ole, fair point
however razors have released 10 or 11 different takes on the smae boot, they are one company that can afford to make a new boot mould.
ill take your point with some other companies, but it is about time they did something new.
and latimer just went all crazy tech with kooky tricks,
i doubt he is bothered about being paid anymore for it anyway.
its not about the money.
and yeah before you say anything, i have been skating since 93 too :)
January 9th, 2008 at 12:30 am
the new boot will be out next month hopefully
January 9th, 2008 at 12:32 am
Yes now I know you are a fuckin little kid also cause if you grew up skaiting with the old gear we used to rock you would actually appreciate what we have goin on right now. What Im saying is that its comments like yours that screw Pros out of apaycheck. Razors doesnt make as much as they could because instead of choosing a cult or gensys which both work great, they have to create a new mold to compete, and then screw pros. Thanks leo. Good looking, grommett.
January 9th, 2008 at 12:38 am
Oh yeah and leo, as for latimer goin kooky , well why do you think rollin has been so ILL the last 5 years, those mind game sections changed shit and were what they are because latimer could roll everyday cause of good pay and so eventually PROGRESSED skating. You see unlike you, whos job is to follow, Legends like Latimer lead… But then have no choice to give it up(on a pro level) to support their families cause people like you want new boot molds.
January 9th, 2008 at 3:24 am
well said Ole
Still, improvements can be made. Making new molds just for the looks is a no, but no brand has a perfect boot yet.
January 9th, 2008 at 3:45 am
Haha
People bitch about razors’ new mold, and say they don’t need to change things, then when they bring out a genesys skate people bitch that they need to change. There’s no pleasing you guys!
And I thought latimer quit coz he was old.
(just kidding by the way)
January 9th, 2008 at 6:09 am
yo Leo
that is just a joke, take it easy buddy
stop hatin
January 9th, 2008 at 9:56 am
for years and years Razors catches all the hate for “making the same thing over and over” when everyone else’s skates are the exact same way. and Razors leads the industry in supporting their team, events, shops and skating itself. what other company has put up a thousand dollars for anyone to win? at least since rollerblading’s heyday….
the classic throne shell is over ten years old now and the UFS thrones are older than the genesys.
UFS remz are coming up on five years old, with a soulplate update finally made not even a year ago.
the TRS shell is what, six years old? with a cuff and baseplate update three years ago.
the present xsjado molds will probably go at least five years (total.. two years from now) without major revisions or replacement.
the UFS fatty is just the Style Point Bob, and if K2 still produced the Nemesis-style skate it’d be going on five years old as well.
Nimh’s use a generic bootshell that was an m12 clone…. probably at least twelve years old or so.
the m12 shell is the goddamned original inline skate shell for chrissake!
January 9th, 2008 at 10:18 am
end of the day razors are a fuckin shambles of a company, stick with the conference for fucksake, all the little shits on this site piss and moan about razors and yet everyone seems to rocking a set of gen shells these days!!!!!!!!! fuck the 2 faced!! get a set of thrones lol
January 9th, 2008 at 10:51 am
how are razors a shambles of a company? look at their team, easily one of the best teams out there. learn how to read you dumbass dnb and stop making rollerbladers look like complete fucking idiots.
January 9th, 2008 at 11:56 am
YO - My first skates we’re bravoblades too. I had the glx’s and took out middle wheels. Ive been skating fot longer than I havent been, and Cults are better… There better than a Ginsters Deep Fill Chicken and Mushroom Slice by far!!! Dean
January 9th, 2008 at 11:58 am
If K2 released Style point bobs again tomorrow. I’d cry, and spend 23 years wages on purchasing every pair made, so i remain cool forever!!!
January 9th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
is that a picture of murda next to a girl wearing a beanie flashing her bra? omg razors is so embarrassing.
January 9th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
ok ole you obviously think your all knowledgable, just because my opinion differs to your about a need to update the razors boot shell doesnt mean you should act like a retard about it.
my first pair of decent skates were romes and im 24 for a start, so cut the grommet shit.
it may cost razors quite alot of money to make ta new boot mould but people well purchase them on mass and im pretty sure \(as razors are one of the biggest companiew in rolling) that they will make there money back on that and then some.
January 9th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Ole Skoo has a chip on his shoulder.
Calling Leo a grommet after branding every poor kid who wanted to see a new boot-mould a faggot! Older skaters stopped getting rowdy like that on messageboards in ‘01 didn’t they?
It’s a big circle…you can’t just say pro’s ain’t getting paid cos kids asked for new boot mould…a little more to it than that I think!
January 9th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
its not asking alot from a massive company who have done seriously well out of there genysis boot mould as it is.
it will generate more income in the long run and strengthen there brand.
so stop wining.
its not like i bitched about razors once, i am a devotee of there skates, having had about 6 pairs now.
all i was saying is that the new remz (which are quite alot different to the originals i might add) are using the new innovations such as there cut down cuff and liners, and are looking like an attractive option right now.
it isnt my fault that razors make statements saying the icon is the last in the series.
im sure there as stoked about the new boot mould as everyone else is who are waiting for it.
JE is right in the sense that your getting all rowdy.
and your foolish to say that i dont appreciate what i have right now, as i love my skates, there just wasted tis all.
so dont try and get all righteous about this topic like your opinion is better and more valid than anyone elses. you just sound a bit narrow minded for it.
im a qualified rollerblading instructor and a supporter of razors as a brand so at least try and express your view in a less arrogant way.
if you look at my first reply im actually agreeing with your point in some respects.
January 9th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
and your point about bmx’s isnt valid, as they are constantly innovating bikes frames using different materials and technology, as for boarding , really, look at the difference of boards ten years ago to now, better pop, more durable wood, varied sizes and lengths and different market strategies (budget blanks as opposed to high end decks like zoo york)
its all about companies branding and market strategies.
it is business after all.
January 9th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
and no offence dnb all tha way muthafuckahs but your really sounding foolish right now. yes the conference are dope but to say that razors are a shambles of a company is a half wit comment to make.
look at there team, there advertising (i.e podcasts) and there ability to generate interest, be it positive or negative, its advertisment all the same.
go back to school.
January 9th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
Ole skoo is just being a dick. People want to see a new product from razors. They have had very little innovation or even change in their skates for years. They are continuiously making pretty much the same skate over and over. Also the fact that riders aren’t getting paid has nothing to do with what a single kid says on a post or even the demand for a new product. The demand for a new product is a good thing. There are too many kids out there getting free stuff from companies who aren’t even on the team. Companies need to start acting like companies and make riders promote their products which very few do.
January 10th, 2008 at 2:12 am
that guy really pissed you off huh leo?
also i can’t see why it would cost hundreds of thousands to make a new boot mold, i can imagin it being expesive to mass produce the first batch but if you made sure it was gonna be perfect the first time then it’d be worth it.
January 10th, 2008 at 5:04 am
it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars because you have to design everything in CAD; prototype to check fit, design, and dimensions; engineer and re-engineer injection points and material formulas; fix shrinkage and cracking issues; precisely CNC machine multiple-piece molds that fit together seamlessly and quickly; test the samples thoroughly (at least, you should… many skate companies seem to forego this step), make the necessary adjustments to all the previous steps if testing shows shortcomings; then re-test. THEN you have to do it all for three or four other sizes, in left and right.
January 10th, 2008 at 11:55 am
haha
yes eugene he did.
just his narrow mindedness to different view and arrogance to call me a grommet.
new boot moulds do cost cash money, but its an investment in my eyes.
and anyways, they look immense!”
January 10th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
allready seen them at the IMYTA+ in Amsterdam….
January 10th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
Those actually look really nice. I like the fact that the soul look massive.
Also, when I saw the video, I thought the skates were shoes at first.
January 15th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
all you young fools dont know what you got you realy dont i skates since the early 90 s stoped skating in 2000 snd started again last year iv had a bigger break than most of you young ones have been skating what i see companys go tits up companys like k2 salomon roces all skate makes that were top off the game a few years ago were are they no were why because they did not change they did not inovate or try to change to late companys like razor got it right there making money and changing theres nothing wrong with there old skates ive skated just about every skate out there and there all the same once a pair is broken in there all the fucking same but in a modern times companys cant stand still and fuck pro skaters you want some one to look up to look at the up and cummings skaters the ones that have somthing to prove there the once pushing the sport to the level of a pro and past it you ever met a pro skater iv met alot of them and every time iv seen then iv been more impressed with the nobodys out to prove somthing the pros have skill and you can never take that away but they get there ticket and then thats it thay stop pushing the pros want paid pay them but show us somthing new you ppl want money in the sport go out and fine it cos it wont come to us we are not bankable as a sport theres no money to be made so no money will be spent on us and thats a fact
