nick, the purple parts only come with the skate, that’s why it’s limited edition, so people can’t make regular icon2′s into limited edition skates – but if they did that they wouldn’nt be limited editon

Elliot, purple parts are already out separately.

Tbh, I think “limited edition” skates should have something you can’t just buy on its’ own like a cuff with insane graphics or something.

But meh, marketing, people will buy.

Prefer my Icon 2′s stock as they are, but that’s a personal preference.

I’m glad to hear such a positive response on this piece, makes me happy people I dont know like it, anyone that works as an artist probably understands that feeling very well.

Fred Castro: thanks for the comments, I dont know you personally but I remember a sequence you did of multiple shots of the same guy for a razros podcast a while back, and I liked that a lot as well!

regarding the color correction comment, it doesn’t necessary makes color more vibrant, it gives character and personality to the shot, in this particular case I tried to give them a little purple tint, but at the same time I lowered the saturation value, so colors look a bit dull, and washed up.

If you want to see it in action, next time you watch a movie on dvd, check out the b roll on the extras (if they have one), there is a big chance that these shots have no color correction, compare it to the rest of the movie and you will see the difference. Its very cool and these days is not that complicated to do with computers. (look for “curves” and “hue/saturation” options on your software.)
