Low frame rates = visible interlacing for action…

Think the key thing which will make or break how good this video is perceived to be years down the line is the expectation.
They’ve been filming for ages. Some pro vids are filmed in about 3 weeks, Chris Farmer’s KFC3 section filmed in a mere 10 days….when he was injured….
People will want to see Dre Powell have a bangin’ section. Everyone wants to see that, we all know he’s brilliant at talking to amateurs and promoting the products, but he hasn’t had a really killer section in a while, no offence intended to a top bloke.
Also, having had such a long period of time to gather footage, people will want to see plenty of it. If there are sections which consist of about 20 tricks, filmed from multiple angles and with slow-mo, as opposed to 4–60 hard-hitting tricks in an almost non-stop fashion, I think people will be a touch pissed.
Really hope slow-mo isn’t over-used come the final video.

disappointing trailer.
my opinion:
not digging the song, nor the 3d typo “the wait is over”, looks like he made a 5 minute tutorial on how to create type in c4d or maya, whats up with the fake cinemascope? 0:24?,
WHY CANT ROLLERBLADING EDITORS STOP USING THE SAME EFFECTS OVER AND OVER AGAIN?
please, even matty whatky stopped using lenseflares – its about time that everybody does, its been in every second edit on here for half a year, cant see it anymore!
also im missing the sounds of grinding, landing… i prefere to hear a bit of that to connect the audio and visual better.
alltogether disappointing – for me.

come on now, we all know this video is gonna be good, even if the direction/editing is too pretentious or whatever (i’m not saying it is but everyone on here loves a moan) but the skating is just going to be too good to deny, this is the same team that brought us icons and i thought trick wise that was amazing. i dont care what the so called “rollerblading elite” say they’re a bunch of dick suckers anyway. this is gonna be good.

fuckin siiiiick. why does it seem so easy for people to point out the smallest mistakes in brazils stuff? sure, he used a lot of color correction or lens flare or simple 3d graphics or whatever, but honestly it still is more professional than any trailer i have seen recently besides the ONE video and maybe truth 2. music is mainstream and editing is flashy, but it shouldnt be hard to accept that this looks way better than the production quality for ICONS.
sure icons had good skating, but adam johnson used plain titles, weird black and white effects, and shitty/no color correction. and this video wasnt just filmed on a tour or with sent in clips. i am way stoked about this and people should stop hating and appreciate good skating whether you like the editing and filming or not.

You guys are all idiots who thing the cinescope looks like shit or is shot in post. he obviously meant to shoot it like that. and as far as heads getting cut off watch a really really well shot anything, movie, tv show anything. (outside of shit like transformers and other big budget blockbusters) people are constantly cutting off heads off of people with their shots. its called a look.

Look up the definition of pop culture please… We are a culture, but not a popular one. And no, there is no way I would appear in a rap music video on skates; that’s a stupid assumption, and a poor example.
Not saying the failure of this trailer is Brazzilionares direct fault… His edits where on point before Razors snapped him up. It could be that Andy is heading in the wrong direction with promotion.
I really disagree with anyone that says this was filmed in cinemascope, its as clear as day that it was done in post! Sure ‘normal’ films do have a pretty tight frame, but usually only during any movement eg. standing up/ sitting down, and not during any dialogue… A skate video doesn’t have dialogue, the main focus is the environment/obstacles and the skaters themselves, we cant just have their skates, torso, a a bit of the ledge/rail in the frame.

It is a disappointing trailer, Brazil wouldn’t get judged on his editing if he didn’t act like he was the best thing that ever happened to rolling videos/edits. When you talk a big game you should be able to back it up. His mistakes are amateur, I would lose my job if I converted to cinemascope in post and started throwing lens flares into every shot I could. I don’t know if it’s my laptop, youtube, my wireless or something else, but the trailer appears to be running a bit choppy, which makes the fault a lot more blatant.
Hands down the skating looks incredible, Murda will most certainly deliver an incredible ledge section, Aragon will do everything Flawlessly, Stefan will drop hammers, and Bambrick will impress with creativity. Regardless of Brazil, the skating will sell this video, which sadly will make Brazil’s “work” appear to the guys at razors as being successful.
