2. the lasting (shape of the inside of the shell) is based directly off of the older razors (”cult” style shell), because most everyone, especially those on the team, felt they fit perfect. that’s why the shape of the shell looks so much like the Cult shell, but i assure you it’s an entirely new mold. they are not a raised-heel design (no shock pad) like the classic cults, however, they will have a nice fat shock pad like a salomon or genesys.
3. the cuffs are going to be new, probably not radically different than the existing razors cuffs, but they’re not done yet so Brent had the present cuffs on the proto’s.
4. the soul system is radically different than anything seen before, and will offer the lowest center of gravity of any UFS skate. as i said in the vidcast, they clip on from the sides. i’m not allowed to tell you anything more, nor do i want to- you’re all just going to have to suffer a few more months of not knowing Smile
5. shell sizing is the same as the Cults- 6/7, 8/9, 10/11, 12/13. somehow a rumor has already circulated that there will be single-sized shells- unfortunately this is not true. seven or eight sizes of boot and soulplate molds would be millions of dollars, and unfortunately rolling isn’t big enough for razors to sell enough skates to be able to afford single-sized shells.
6. they were originally intended for holiday release but Razors is still perfecting a few things so they’ve been pushed back to spring. dry your tears, spring will be here before you know it.
7. about the “shiny” appearance of the shell- the cosmetic aspects of the shell have not really been worked on yet, just the fit/structural aspects. rest assured they will not be shiny, and they will look dope.

Would have liked to have seen more of the cuff. This new skate looks like an actual cross between the genesys (spelling?) and the old flat/cult boots.

as stated several times, this is a PROTOTYPE. the details and finish on the shell have yet to be finalized, what you’re seeing here is a rough, early version of what will be the finished skate.
the shape of the boot looks a lot like the Cult boot because, as i stated in the edit, the fit is based off of that boot, because everyone liked the fit of the Cult boot better than the fit of the Genesys.

If I’ll put my 2 cents in, for one it does say it’s a prototype. Meaning that this current skate design may or may not undergo tremendous change within the coming months prior to it’s release date. Secondly, I think the only real thing that can probably be confirmed are the soul plates. I mean, it was stated in Brent’s mini-bio (see razorskate.com) that he was ridinig the prototype souls. Then again, it does say prototype. Meaning, the souls may change too. It’s still too early to do any serious judgement. Still, I personally think they aren’t that bad. I like razors design and a skate the borrows both the cult look and genesys look takes the best from both worlds. In the end, we just have to wait an see the official design. The recent news/pics of the skates are vreally just tidbits. On another note, on yotube, it says that the video was posted without consent from Rolling Revival lol.

Looks fantastic, they’ve taken the original cult boot (the best one they’ve had in my opinion, and kept the original soul / BS system and just beefed it up.
Hopefully they’ve changed the cuff too, I always hated those useless front flaps. I hope they are like USD ones…i’ll definately be keeping an eye out for these.

I was waiting on these so I could get back into some Razors and now I find out that you’ve “stream lined” them in the same fashion as the cults, well I have some cults and I hate them, I have a big, wide foot and the cults don’t accomidate people who are tall or have thick, wide feet. figure out a new boot and just adjust the liner to make it where as you can have either more padding or less according to your foot. 9. Why keep putting only Ground controls on your skates who does he ride for put his frame on his skate. (I know you said you don’t know anything about thew frames or wheels but odds are you’ll either put on a new ground control or you own frames).
10. Business is down because all the companies are too scared to do what’s neccessary to bring it out of the dark ages and into the rolling renisance. Ha, this is going just like when the Xsjado’s were in prototype phase. All marketing strategy. Just post a picture of some non-reveiling prototype skates and everybody keeps on rambling about it until the final release, in wich they forget about the competition. And at that point, at least 80% of you whiners want to buy them.
Can’t take anything away from Razors, even though the prices went up and the amount of new inventions went down, they still have got an impressive market run over the years. And they’ve also got at least a few sick skates released. They’ll come up with something amazing, and something good. No doubt about it.

Ain’t into the general look, but it is a prototype after all so I won’t complain.
Hopefully it’ll be a great roll, I remember I snapped the frames and BOOTS of my Cult 3’s a few years back on a gap, I’ve never heard of anyone else snapping a boot.
Haven’t had the confidence in Razors since to the extent where I would BUY a piar without trying them on first……but I’d certainly like to try these things on when they’re released.
