It's more than just taking care of yourself from drinking and smoking. It about being motivated to roll and in life. The older I've gotten I skate more better and more than I used too. In college I always had to study, the weather was shitty, staying up too late, waking up too late, etc etc. Now in the real world, I have a schedule, a salary, a car, and time to actually skate. Of course falling now hurts more than 10 years ago, but I also fall a lot less. I hope to continue skating well into my 30's at a very high level. Treat skating more as exercise than risking life and limb. Don't burn out fast. Skate smarter, last longer.

I'm 32 and have been Skating since 1993, I still remember my first Grind plates (50/50 Slot style smooties, White) man has it been that long? I have a passion for it and still to this day lay in bed at night thinking about a ledge I saw on the way home or a rail that needed some love. Sure I've broken my ankle and needed a metal plate and 7 screws, broken both wrists more times than I can rememeber and broken ribs a plenty, but still no matter how my body aches I still need that feeling of locking on or the feel of the street just going by under my wheels, I can't live without it. Age is a number, and I think if you love skating that much you'll skate no matter your limitations. Only thing that really slows me down now a days is My wife getting upset with me because I'm bleeding on the couch or having to stop and change my kids diaper before we head out, besides that I still do it, and do it I do. Keep rolling!

mmmmm: learned what? that youre a fucking moron that knows jack shit?

me tink: if something that insignificant bothers you, then kill yourself now. life gets much more complicated

bc4life: are you 30? or anywhere near it? how about this one...have you been skating for over 10 years? i seriously fucking doubt it. do you have a full time job? own a place? got a car?

respect to ANYONE that keeps rolling. everyone usually quits anyway.

Bc4life: I've never smoked (cigarettes) and only tried weed a few times, I used to drink occasionally when I was younger but haven't enjoyed it much the last 3-4 years, I sleep 8hours a day, eat healthy since my wife loves cooking Italian food, but I can assure you that my body has taken some damage from rollerblading the past 12 years... physically it keeps me fit, but my knees and ankles aren't what they used to be. I actually avoid doing topside tricks on really low ledges today, and my right hip have taken so many falls that I don't do stunt gaps anymore... But you're right, it's like any other sport. I used to play soccer when I was in high school and it gave me more long lasting injuries than rollerblading has.

It's all tatally bullshit with the hole"i'm 30 my body hurts".The truth is bladers dont respect their bodys, it is cool to smoke, drink and do all those bad things. If you wanna be in shape, you have to exercise, eat properly and avoid bad habits, just like in any other sport. Then you can skate till 50.

too bad this sport pounds so much your body...
Unlike surfing (where you see 70 year old people riding waves, part of the overall culture as much as any teenager) in skating after 40 you are prett much done.

Im 31, for the last 8 months I have been uneble to skate due to a really messed ankle, but looking forward to come back. I think I still have 10 years left in me at elast :)

I'm with outsider and Scott on this one. also been skating for over 19 years. that's longer than most marriages last...& actually the only roller left on this island. Its always inspiring seeing the sport being pushed by the new generation and being pulled by the elders. It goes both ways. Respect your peers.

Like the concept, but the digital paint blotches logo looks really tacky. Try using real paint splatters and scanning them in. A much more textured and authentic look.

"There is clearly a Respect issue in between age generations and its never more obvious then here on these comments. As an older skater myself my first thought was “sounds cool, I wish them luck” – and then the first 2 posts happened. Thats got to be the result of 17 year old chumps with a computer."-outsider

totally aggree. Ive been rolling 19 years, longer than most rollerbladers have been alive. I love seeing anybody over 30 still in the game and having fun with it. Respect.

There is clearly a Respect issue in between age generations and its never more obvious then here on these comments. As an older skater myself my first thought was "sounds cool, I wish them luck" - and then the first 2 posts happened. Thats got to be the result of 17 year old chumps with a computer.

Good luck with the line.

Good luck adam! I have been skating for almost 15 years and hope I will still be skating after I'm 30. Its getting harder with serious jobs and an aging body. Good to see that some people still rock at that age. Mad respect!
