What, exactly, is an AO BACK FARV?

    Does not compute.

Please resubmitt the correct trick name.

  2. Smashin Dumplins' Says:

Nice pictures, couple of them are average, but a couple of them are really pleasing to the eye, nice job.

  7. sk8rs_s0uL Says:

    chick skaters turn me on.

  8. al dolega Says:

alleyoop means you approach forwards and spin towards the obstacle.

  9. al dolega Says:

oh and Roooob- it was shot on a tripod. it’s a slow shutter (.8 seconds) with manually-triggered flash (I can’t find how to switch to rear-curtain sync with my cam so i have to do it ghetto-style haha) to freeze the skater. the idea was to have the spectators totally blurred out for that dreamy look but i didn’t have enough flash power to do that and still expose the skater properly so i did what i could.

1996, kids…. go study some history hehehehhe

  18. DarthRoller Says:

    I daresay you’re right.

Equally though, names are regional and vary across the world. Wouldn’t worry too much about them, more worried about how awesome what we do is.

That said, I’ll personally never be calling any H-block tricks alley-oop, because then a farv would be an alley-oop royale? Confusion much.

Point is names aren’t as important as rolling and rolling is the shiiiiiz.

  19. al dolega Says:

    alleyoop does not mean backwards.

  20. Jay Cottrell Says:

it certainly doesnt mean forwards al

  21. ilayfatdumps Says:

I think its ugly when camera equipment is obviously in the picture.

  22. al dolega Says:

it means you approach rolling forwards and spin towards the obstacle. go buy some salomons or something jay :)

as for the flashes in the shot, i usually agree but sometimes it looks fine. i was going for showing more of the session/the whole scene instead of a strictly skate-trick photo so i thought it looked ok. plus i didn’t have enough flash power to move them out of the shot so i was kinda stuck with it.
