Picture me Rolling: Guy Crawford & Erik Burrow

picture me rolling

Picture Me Rolling is a remake of a project produced in 2003 featuring some of the finest upcoming and established rollerbladers Canada has to offer. We’re using the same name but this tells a completely different story.

Throughout the 7 months that we had to skate and film for this project, through extremes of heat and cold, very serious injuries and putting up with the idea of skating for a camera the people involved consistently came though with hot lines, clean style, stunts, laughs, car rides, motivation, and of course solid friendship.

Guy Crawford (31)

Erik Burrow (23)

Crawfords gettin’ lowwwwww. I really like his style. Burrow’s got a good vocabulary of tricks too. Kinda sketchy on some of his tricks but still good quality blading.

  5. DarthRoller Says:

So THAT’S where Guy Crawford went. Bloody Canada!

So interesting to see just how much he’s still able to do at 31. Not that that’s “old” as such, but I’m 24 and I know that at 17 (7 years ago) I was able to bounce up from shit and recover a lot faster. Had a wrist injury for about 6 weeks now, can still roll, just can’t put any weight on it (pushing open heavy doors, falling onto it etc) which would have probably healed in DAYS 7 years ago. 7 years from now I’ll be 31, nice to see that the potential is there to roll pretty hard.

Convinced that with conditioning, weights, yoga, good diet and all that stuff that I’ll be able to roll into my 60′s, even if by then it’s grinds on curbs, just going up and down the inside of a mini-ramp without airing or doing stalls and no stairs whatsoever, but why not be able to do the odd grind and cruise around the streets fakie?

Random ramble over, sick edits. Great seeing footage of Guy.
