Sam was born on the 28th July 1986 at St Thomas’s Hospital in London, also the same year the Russian space station Mir launched and Mike Tysons first boxing victory. Growing up just outside Brixton in London he was encouraged to be creative from a young age by his parents who schooled him in the art of potato printing and introduced him to his first love, Lego.
Sam currently contributes to Kingdom Magazine, ONE magazine, Be-mag and has had work featured in Unity magazine and other publications. Eager to find his own niche within the medium but not become pigeon-holed he mixes analogue and digital techniques, carefully utilising the qualities of each. Referencing from past work with an educated view of today’s culture is what makes Sam’s work exciting and relevant. Sam is currently living in London.
Well it’s been a while since i organized a skatemeet due to travelling and the weather here in the UK but it was time for another skatepark session.
This time i chose Harlow. A relatively new park with a bowl and small street section. I found out how small it really was after turning up on Sunday morning. The weather was awesome with the sun shining down and having an amazing turnout or around 50 skaters. The biggest yet.
