this is get someone to blade day, not “your not a pro and now im angry day” i think this is a great opportunity for people like me an yeh i know i aint no “pro” an probably wont be.. ever!! but why kill dreams for others. i like skating for the fun of it, and accomplishing self setting targets/goals, is a buzz in it self, c’mon man if ya wanna write s**t like that dont leave comments from one end of the scale on posts meant for the beginning of the scale. Encourage us!!

All the pro’s were little kids? Are you twisting information from Barely Dead???? Some immature, but not kids (Except Randy Spizer, Aaron F, being young at pro status… but i’m sure they got mature real fast, hanging older team members.)

Arlo, Chris Edwards, Mike Budnik, Rawlinson, Tash, Brooke, Julio, Scott, Erik Burke, Ryan Jacklone, Marco Hitze, Manuel Billiris, Tom Fry, Cesar Mora, Salerno… list goes on.

They were all far from little kids.

what the hell are you talking about!! back in the days all pros were little kids! and they managed the industry to work ! can you remember those days!
and yes of course the inline boom is a while back! but skating nowadays is only “underground” because of games like tony hawk and skate and shows like jackass! put some sick skating in jackass and you will see how many people will roll around!! so all we need ismaking our sport more popular! sees phil

I’ve gotten a lot of my friends into rollerblading. I either sell them my skates cheap, take them to the skatepark and let them try my skates and show them some skating, or i show them awsome clips of Chris haffey / Chris farmer.

I don’t know if it is just me but don’t these art peices look like they are influenced by Arlo?

Yes!!! this is what we need. More rollerbladers, especially pros and ams getting people to rollerblade. The number one reason people do not skate is simply because they have never seen rollerblading. Even skateboarders will rollerblade after you show them what its really about. Give or sell anyone that asks a pair of your used skates, let them use your own skates. They will love it and buy new skates. Build a box and let kids skate it, its what i do for all the kids ive gotten into rollerblading at one skatepark, theres a shit load of them now! A company needs to step up as well and produce a best of rollerblading dvd with the rowdiest sections ever and sell it at cost simply for promotional purposes. If i ever grab a copy of something like that, i’d make a hundred copies and make sure every kid i saw got one.

Actually a pretty good idea, it’s similar to “go skateboarding day” I guess.

I’ve got a few friends into rolling now, just nagged them and nagged them until they tried it, and they come out for a chilled roll once in a while.

Good stuff, I quite like the designs too.
