Jon Elliott, Brian Shima and Montre Livingston, Nimh’s first amateur, visited Phoenix, Arizona this past week to skate Revolution’s Thursday Night skate at Thunderbird skatepark and doing some street skating.

If this vid doesn’t convince you to support Nimh I don’t know what will. This edit was obviously sick. I just can’t understand why people still don’t like Montre for everything he’s capable of! It’s like people who hated Farmer’s change in style for so long now like it and imitate it. I’m sure in time people will accept Montre too. But I find it ridiculous the fire he’s always under no matter what he shows up in. The man is skating next level and people hate. I mean seriously, why do you think he is on the Nimh team?? Has to be something there which is OBVIOUS! Skill.

forget man, montre is a sick addition to the nihm lineup, glad to see some sick spots that i have never seen in AZ, and i live there…Nihm is going to be the next big brand of skates, and hopefully the move to bring montre on the team starts to pull rolling back together, instead of having rockers and hip hopppers separately. Support skater owned not corporate!!!

i absolutely loved that edit, i love what nihm have done
most companys try to market there skates at a demographic, razors for hip hop skaters ect and everyone thought nihm was going to be for rockers, but by putting montre on the team its just thrown it completely.
i love montres style so smooth but not robotic, and i love seeing shima skate fast at every thing again

you ahve to admit tho, montre looks a little out of place around all the tight-pant-wearing rocker-style skaters around, and the music is kind of weird for his style. hell even the spots are.
but im glad montre is finanly getting some regocnition he is sick. my guess is in a year or two he;s goign to be picked up by razors or usd or something.

Marosh there are millions of kids spinning into all types of tricks all over the world, and so what if shima can’t do the same spins into watever tricks, thats not the point, the point is Shima’s skating looks amazing, he can do a simple backside down a rail and it would look amazing, thats what makes the difference from pro’s and all the other thousands of kids doing 540 true fishbrains or watever. In a sport like rollerblading its not always about quantity, its about quality.

What I admit on Shima is that he is doing is thing, is not bitching around and try to develop skating in different areas, for example now NIMH.
He’s fast, he has style, but he’s not the best in skating! but thats not important, important is what he is doing for our sport!

The edit, the skating, the whole intro, everything was sick. I was really happy with it.
Once again I congradulate Jon & Brian and everyone at Rat Tail for all there help in launching NIMH. Finally a true skater owned company with no corporate bull shit.
Always in the beginning people are going to be a skeptic, but once they see quality behind the skates and the overall team / company then they all want to be apart of it and support. Everyone has to think outside the box and with 2 ledgends Jon and Brian they aren’t going to give us a bad skate and they are only trying to help grow the sport.
Montre is a great addition to the team. No one can compare Brian vs. Montre. They both have there own set of tricks and style.
Many many years ago, this is the way companies promoted there company and to the consumers. The kids in the edit loved seeing the pro’s / am’s and skating with them. No corporate $$$ and kids are still supporting NIMH. Its all about grassroots!!!

Elliot clips!!! at last, it`s been so long… Montre earned his place in NIMH, he`s killing it! Togetehr with Valo, NIMH will be leading brands in future I hope, with right guys behind it it just can`t be a failure.

getting sponsored is not just about how good your skills are. if it was, there would be a hell of a lot more people skating pro.
sponsoring people is marketing, who will sell the most skates, not just who is good.
theres also people who are sponsored because they are icons, or they’ve been around along time, like homage towards them. helps them continue their lives dedicated to skating.

Prodigy is right about how teams use to be matched up. it wasn’t about who listened or dressed a certain way, only about who skated great and was a great representation for the company.
Those of you who seem to think that the skates make the rider are probably the same ones who can’t afford to move out of your moms cause you think the clothes makes the man.
The Nimh skates may be like every other skate out there, they may not be, most likely they’re better. Here’s the point. They are fully Skater owned. that says a lot. I wish our companies would all be just like that but unfortunately money talks. That whole C.R.E.A.M situation. I’m sure they’ll pick a emo type of kid next or just a straight rocker. I mean hell they have Latimer, Shima, Livingston and most likely someone who skates sick as hell but listens to a different type of music to add mixture to the group. It’s a smart move that way you get all demographics as well. Stop hating on a skate you haven’t tried out. I own two pairs of Xsjado skate I can officially say I don’t like them I don’t own a pair of Nimhs yet but I will. (Jon ahhemmm). :) Stop hating and start participating.

I have to give Montre a big congrats for making it onto the NIHM team. That dudes sick. I wasn’t really feeling him too much in Black Market but after watching this edit of him I’m really impressed by his skating. It’s fresh as hell.
Shima and Elliot are legends, they know whats up.
Shima looked like a beast in this edit. His skating was so ill it blew my mind away. That guy will always stay on top and never fall off.
Congrats to both Shima and Elliot for starting a fresh brand like NIHM. The skates look amazing.

On a side note… I have a prediction of who will be the next Pro to be on the NIHM team. I think Ben Schwab will be the new pro. He will also be announced pro for 4×4 wheels, most likely right before the 4×4 video comes out.

This edit was super prime, such heavy tricks.
Montre actually suits Nimh, and in my opinion, his style has gotten better with those skates instead of Razors. Shima just doesn’t stop - he’s still pulling hammers with massive amounts of style.
I really liked this edit - and if you don’t like this edit, you’re probably just more or less jelous.
