but dont you see the difference to former day pros? i used to be shocked about what crazy new grinds Latimer used to be doing, or what not…
thats not innovative, nothing new, nothing really shocking, nothing extraordinary… just some OK- blading anybody else could do.
And im NOT saying NW doesnt deserve to be pro, in fact he does probably. It just says something about the state of affairs regarding rollerblading as a whole

Nick actually has a personality that is his own, something the OLD pros had that is lacking today……..that goes for Damian Wilson too, not like these try hard guys like montre etc. strapping onto the latest trend, guys like nick and Damian have been real since the beginning.

comparing nick to DL is unfair. every pro is not DL, obviously. none are. but we still have pros doing crazy shit you never dreamed of or expected. the state isn’t worse – you’re just over saturated. for one, you see new shit every single day. that waters down even the best of clips. and there were always “boring” pros or pros that didn’t blow your mind every time you saw them. i don’t want to name names but there have always been LOTS of those guys. it hasn’t changed. nick wood is not DL nor is he trying to be. nice try though. and nice try hiding as constructive comments while you diss all of skating. you got dudes like alex and farmer and about ten others making like 20 sections so far. staying on top for a decade… and you’re gonna try to hint that the pros now are softer than the ones before? you mean the ones that earned more than twice as much and put out 15% of the content before retiring at 24? nevermind those limits to be pushed were much smaller at the time and you were ten years younger so of course it blew your mind. think about it. these complaints about skating are getting STALE.

Just to clear all the people hating that nick is PRO. Nick Wood The Woodster Retired from the Remz Pro team in January. Email Remz If you dont believe me. they have not updated their website because there is alot of restructuring in remz right now. I repeat Nick is no longer a Remz PRO. But he will always be a part of the remz team no matter what the title.

One more time Because it seems the only complaint the Woodster gets is about his “PRO” status. Nick “the Woodster” Wood retired from the remz pro team some months ago and no longer has the three leter title that makes all you fags go nuts over. He is just on the remz team “NOT” pro. but he does call himself the unofficial Remz Mascot.

damn that section had it all!!!!! NW still killing it since the street dwellaz days. He must be pretty old now, and still lacing hammers like that, so sick.
He is one of the most charismatic people and strongest personalities in rollerblading, he is a credit to any team, pro or not, and really makes rollerblading look fun. one of my favourite skaters for sure.
