Seriously, Ive never seen a edit slaughtered that bad in the editing room, the filming was supersteady and nice, tricks were good.. it was all layed up for a great edit and some idiot destroys it by not knowing how to edit.. the most basic thing is to match the flow of the song with the skating somewhat, and also preferable a good song.. this shit pisses me off

I don’t get it… What is the fasination with today’s rap artists? They are all rapping about dumb useless shit, don’t put a possitive image unless “being a hard hustler” is positive. And the beats are really unintelligent and annoying. Wish this newer style of rap (it’s not hip/hop… This shit is far from tribe and wutang. Even biggie and tupac) would go the way of disco.
But on a lighter note: filming was hot and the skating was clean. Good to see Eric Garcia and vinny skating.

Im sick of people talking big on RN. Ungrateful kids get the edits for free on a daily basis and still bitch! I remember having to wait months for a vhs to come out and you just took it for what it was, enjoyed the bits you liked and watched it over and over.
Getting such an easy access resource to skate clips around the world is amazing and these little brat, impatient kids gets their panties in a bunch when its not tailored perfectly to their taste.

This edit in fact was really SICK!
I know some of the younger cats are gunna hate, (I’m 21, and have been involved in rolling actively since ’95) but there was some great skating, and lines, and I’m not going to challenge anyone in here posting hate to make a better edit, because if they were making great edits they wouldn’t be in here hating. Period.

Vinny Minton has been in the game so long and if the edit had a song from Lady Gaga (who I cannot stand…) I still wouldn’t hate, it’s easy for people to hate on these edits because they are younger, and this new generation of skaters is “ME, ME, ME!”
There is nothing wrong with that however, but it’s so negative when we have great edits, skaters, and skates. Just skate and stop the hate. When I see an edit I don’t like (Which rarely happens…) I skate, right after and get the yuck outta my mind. By the way if some of you have fun by hating, that is cool too! If you cannot have fun on your skates have fun doing something!

why so much fuckin hate???? this is QUALITY skating, filming, and editing and the song wasnt as bad as you guys make it seem. the people that are prolly talkin shit about the song should suggest something better, instead of just sitting at your desk and talkin shit about how much the song sucks.
im tired of seeing comments on how much it sucks when they dont even suggest something better or to help out whoever edited it or chose the song. EVERYONE STOP HATIN

Every “action” sport… or “extreme” sport is mostly white. I’m black by the way, and have been rolling and supporting things within the scene for a long time. Way before the “Elliot” designed backslide plate, and before Bauer tried to make aggressive skates. When Rollerblade came out of the box with scribe grind plates, and a soul space almost too small to use. (Notice I said almost… I still did, and perfected topsides with them, and did royales without a B-slide plate! :) )
The difference is our sport has REAL G’s, not some wanna be thugs like “Compton ass Terry Kennedy” (the dude is a joke, and is hardly one of the more progressive skaters of today, like Gershon was back then, or even Kareem)
Rachard is a REAL G! (Me I’m one of those rocker types and have always been, when everyone was baggy I had a hard time staying with a crew because I have always worn tight straight leg pants, and brought my one boom box to parks, blasting cure hits, and minor threat.)
Frankie Morales would beat my ass! (even though he plays kendama, and jumps on trampolines… the dude is a real G)

So is Vinny Minton.
My point is every action sport is mostly white and that is fine. I don’t actually notice it, because when picked this sport up, the only other darkie besides me, was Nicky Adams. That didn’t bother me, I always got props for going hard and fast, and not being a nigger, but someone who loves and understands this sport, and did what is important, brought people around and introduced to them what rolling is all about having fun, and being yourself!

the edit was fine in the terms of skating, filming the stunts… I really enjoyed it. I, Personally, didn’t like the song… no problem with that…

alright… anything without hit-hats that are being played like a shaker with a shaker on top of it… sounds awful. Also with out a cheesey ass mono synth trying to sound like a horn. (I won’t touch the rapping). there are plenty of songs to pick from…
Truth is yes, I will put some hate down for once here on Rollernews. I always try to justify it and back it up with constructive criticism. Cause, I believe that If you are gonna hate… then at least say something possessive about the same thing. you won’t look like a huge asshole… just a slightly smaller one.
Everything else about the edit was great. I agree with a couple other comments that the filming was extremely steady for a skate edit and the shots were great. the skating was stylish and fresh. I want eric garcia’s ability to cesslide as well… Plus the place looks fun to skate.

I never once said anyone’s name that made a negative comment, because I know it doesn’t better this board calling someone out for posting their opinion.
To make this clear when I see an edit that in my opinion is lame (or as some of these git’s say “Weak sauce”) I don’t post a comment. I just don’t say anything, because I don’t know if the skater is watching the comments (and I don’t want to offend some aspiring boy/man, who is doing what he loves.)
And if I don’t like the music in the edit (I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed the music in ANY of Pianowski’s edits!!!) I don’t say anything again. I love Carlos’ skating, but why am I going to post a comment about his bands music, or the music in the edit? I’m going to post about how sick the dudes tricks were, or how fast he skated everything. In every edit I find something inspiring.
This is Rollernews. This is OUR community, so I don’t hate on anything anyone does here. The negative comments about B.S. are well… B.S.
I wanted to hate on infernal clothing the other day… But I refrained…
Maybe at times I try to be mature. Right now I’m being immature because some git called me out, and I feel as a senior roller (I’m old and have been actively involved in skating longer than any of you trend hopping whores, and will still be here after you get your cars and after you get pussy for the first time in the history of skating, and pussy, and will be here after the industry eats itself again.)
We need to skate not hate. Not every song in every edit will fit our tastes… Nor will the skaters choice in fashion fit what we deem is acceptable…. Or the objects or style of the skater. Skate for yourself.
If half of you did that you wouldn’t still skate. My old crew long since stopped skating… They got cars, and got laid, and that changed them. With this technology of edits everyday, it’s got you guise jaded and hating on things that don’t even matter.
I love rollernews, and the skaters that support this site!

I watched the edit without sound and loved it. those cess slides were sick and extremely smooth, usually you only see guys tap them after a grind, but those took commitment – all around good edit, glad I didn’t listen to the track though by the sounds of it.

i was wondering if like Vinny uses some machine to have his cam so steady, i even thought about a little cart he drives in to follow the skater . or maybe his cam has an option where it won’t wobble or shake the frames caught . i’ve come to the conclusion that maybe he’s just that steady with it overall. and that kinda thing takes skill.. good job man.. =]

I’ve never seen a ‘follow cam’ so smooth, what was this filmed with? The music was meh, it’s what I’ve come to expect.
As for the actual skating I think people need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. This isn’t a Hyphy section, it’s Vinny and his friends going out and filming some tricks in one day in one skatepark, just like most people on here probably do on a regular basis.
Skating was sick, Garcia killed it with the cess slides. More Vinny next time though!
