More Rollerblade Solo Skate Pics

quoting One:
RB’s head guru Tom Hyser just sent us some pics of the “final” skates, including pics of the soul plates with grooves, a closer look at the materials, and the first glimpse of the inside part of the boot/soul area.
Included was a statement from team rider Julian Bah praising the all-new construction of the skate, specifically saying the “new liners and foot beds are super comfortable, and the 45° ratchet buckle keeps your heel locked down.” See all the pics inside!
Check all the pictures on One.

look like warps. looks really cheap
August 5th, 2008 at 11:42 am
They look questionable but I bet they skate like a dream. About time RB did a skinner skate.
August 5th, 2008 at 11:53 am
wouldnt mind skating massive wheels like those….but they look like anarchy panik skates
August 5th, 2008 at 11:59 am
They’re starting to grow on me. I would never skate them but I can see why people would. They kinda remind me of old RB’s with widebodies on positive and negative sides though! On the plus side I reckon they’d be really light, and the strap to lock your foot down is a really good idea. Whether they’re good or not, it’s nice to see a company doing something different for a change.

this is the most ridiculous product release in rolling i’ve seen in a long time. wtf RB MUST know what a monumental piece of shit this is.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
I disagree, I thnk RB know what they’re doing. I think a lot of people are going to change their mind about these skates. Just remember what people said when certain other skates were first released (the first TRS, Deshi, Xsjado, etc).

Haha the plastic carbuncles strike again.
They look like some kid has had a pair of recreational skates from his Grandma for Xmas and his dad has tried his best to “do them up” for him so he can skate with the cool kids.
Oh how he’s failed.

I’m gonna rock a pair. The first skate in a long while that looks ascetically promising. Fitness skates always fit so good, and then to cross the thresh hold into aggressive skating with a boot that will handle the wear and tear of skating and a super nice soul plate to boot, and look, i can bet that its gonna be a price point skate, there isn’t anything there. I’m actually stoked to ride rollerblade for the first time since the TRS was released.

ugly and old looking. but i have faith in them. theyll prob turn out to be the shit.
August 6th, 2008 at 5:50 am
they look poopy, but my friend jake has tried them, and he said that they skate to much better then the old one and that he’s going to get them and that they were the best skates he has tried.
August 6th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
They look ugly but gauranteed they skate absolutly amazing. You can tell just by looking at them that they are going to skate well. They built them drawing off rec skate technology, the heel lock buckle is going to be amazing, the velcro cuffs will absolutley kick ass for cuff flex, the boot looks soooooo light, and the soul frames although ugly are functional and to the point. Everyones going to froth over these once they’re on the market, gauranteed.
If they only made the soul frame mold with the boot a bit more they would look a million times nicer.

Eugh :|
August 7th, 2008 at 5:51 am
i skated these at woodward last week. they were rob g’s.
the souls are reallllly fast.
the lock better then any thing.
the royals are kinda tall, but still kinda low.
top side tricks are realllllllly easy.
the wheels are great.
the frame is ok.
but they are kinda sift.
and the liner kinda sucks.
and the souls dont last very long.
rob had a really small grove and he was already going into the boot.
all and all, very good skates.
August 7th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
based on a rec skate boot? so they dont have a decent shock absorber like newer model thrones or salomons?
August 7th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
wtf
metal soul plates??
look like 1980’s fuckin skates
lol
point eight are cooler
August 8th, 2008 at 7:10 pm

August 9th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
The worst skate ever…..who is the bastard behind this pieces of cr@p!
August 10th, 2008 at 5:37 am
hey guys
i skates julians prototype solos and absolutly loved them
they are super comfterble, have great flex due to the velcrow buclke and amazing ankle support due to the ankle strap
the souls glide over anything like butter and they roll super smoothe on the stock setup
they lock perfectly onto everything and switch up great
i highly recomend these rollerblades
they may not look that good but the way they skate makes up for it
August 11th, 2008 at 1:49 am
I just bought the Point 8’s with these massive wheels and skated them at Woodward camp. They skate really nice but look weird, I ended up changing my frames and wheels and can’t decide what setup is better. These skates look really sketchy though, I would never buy them just for the way they look.

rollerblade needs to quit making these gay skates!
and start remaking the old alpha look, like the 1s, 2s, and 3s.
now rollerbladin is coming back and the only skates keeping it true is xsjado and remz.
all the others are changing styles and everything they need to go back!
