Montre Livingston Parts Ways With SSM
Montre Livingston has been partnered with Shima Skate Manufacturing since day one. Indeed, he was the first rider Brian Shima hired on his previous company Nimh.
Montre proves to be one of the most talented skaters of his time over and over ; however, it is now time for Montre to embark on a new adventure and seek out new challenges to achieve the things he wants and needs to achieve separately from SSM.
We love and respect Montre and hope he is able to gain all the things he deserves.
We know he will continue to kick ass and accomplish the unexpected just as he always has.

ssm is run out of shima’s house. they pay those guys what they can and hook them up on tickets and shit. I don’t think Shima is making much on the company, it’s hard to get a deal on skates when you’re making small orders…
especially when you’re competing with razors who buys skates in such bulk that they’re 1/2 the price shima pays, or valo-who is really just roces with Julio taking money into his pocket off them…not the mention Shima is a legendary rollerblader…guys show some respect. THE REAL TRUTH AND FACTS: I know this from inside sources… Montre fucked Shima’s girl. This is over some personal shit. Shima was really upset and stopped paying Montre’s portion for his skate sales and stop sending him to contests.

Maybe Montre had some professional responsibilities to uphold, and did not fulfill? Maybe a set # of skates to sell, or comps to attend?
