Negrete usually has alot on his plate, and feels his work really isn’t appreciated, but I’m glad he is comming back with another video. Me personally, although I respect Negrete and think everyone who skated in that teaser have really good style, think the video didn’t look that amazing. I can’t judge the whole thing, but the promotion of drugs (although I’m sure alot of us do them) isn’t somthing you want to portray to kids comming up. That being said, the tricks, some looked stylish and good other did not.
I don’t think Negrete is trying to achieve a Blackmarket or Barely Dead or even an Ego for that matter. This seems alot more of a day in the life type film, with people just chillen, telling you some random stuff and having some sick skating in between. If you like that stuff then I think this video is for you.

video looks cool. as to everyone comparing it to barely dead etc. it’s just a skate video. it’s not made to bring back rollerblading or to showcase the best rollerbladers in the world. its just showing some kids who rollerblade having fun. all of the skating might not be great, but i can guarantee you will see some ill stuff in there. (broskow, farmer, michael collins, mike lily, etc.) also, to the people referring to the tight pants trend: how isn’t baggy pants just as much of a trend? what you wear doesn’t affect your ability to rollerblade last time i checked. i also haven’t seen anyone complaining about “baggy pants videos.” and to the people bitching about drug use. do us all a favor and grow up.

How the hell does it look cool?? Every trick they showed was super easy, at this point Rollerblading should be insane, but its instead moving backwords in this video. I mean they do stupid little tricks that any 10 yr could do. In fact I’m thinking about making my very own video, I’ll put my extra small tight pants on along with a sweet little vest and then do crazy training wheels and rocket mokio’s on the curb by my house! Also there is a thing known as pants that actaully fit (meaning not baggy or tight), you gotta admit broskow looks freakin odd in tight pants.

to answer your question , i am alright with rock rollerblaidng. look at carlos Pianowski, or shima and many more who throw it down to the sound of rock and roll. the point i am trying to make is that. spandex jeans are the XXL sweatpants of 3 years ago. lets stop labeling our selves and trying to fill these niches in our industry. theres more to this rolling movement than the clothes that we wear and the music we listen too. i also want to point out that its tooo easy today for these kids today to get into a video. where are the charaters that rolling used to have. the pros that kids could look up to for reasons that go beyond exceptional rolling ability. i feel like anyone can be in a video if you fit a certain stero type. well fuck that . this homo sean santamaria for example; he sucks at skating, he dresses like a girl and that story he told is straight up amature. fuck him . and fuck this video.

negrete is making a video of some of his friends, he is showcasing a certain genre of rollerblading. many other films have done this, such as the b-unique videos, FOR videos, twenty to life, and many more. but i have never seen hate on those videos because of this. i could call jeph howard a fool because of the huge clothes he wears, but i dont, because he is an ill rollerblader. it doesnt matter what you wear. i also didnt like all the rollerblading in this trailer, but did anyone see broskows perfect 270 back torque, or michael collins disaster fishy, farmers negative makio, etc. people love to pick out the worst tricks to sum up the whole video. plus, this is only a trailer. think what you want of the skating. some of it is just dumb stuff, which i am not a fan of, but ive also seen enough tapdancing on the same old handicaps and ugly spin tricks. i like watching stylish rollerblading, and i think broskow, farmer, michael, and lily will be showing that. there will also no doubt be bad rolelrblading. but what video doesn’t have sections you don’t like? there will always be good and bad sections/skaters. what this basically breaks down to is: keep the hate to yourself, unless you can back it up.

well by diversity in style mroe than 70% of rollers have tight ass clothes. i remember going to BCSD last feb and it was like mostly tight clothed people. and as for the hip hop ” trend with xxl pants ” most of u kids dont know true hip hop to be critisizing it. i myself think that most of the tricks seen in there arent too styling cept a few alot of them r waving their hands like their life is in danger and yes the 270 back torque from broskow was very nice. i mean it is pointless to sit here and argue but how some of the people here say that so far wat they seen is innovative then i disagree with them like 100% and cmon now most videos u see now r starting to be alot more innovative then they useto be. as far as creativity i myself would like to see hard creative shit as oposed to simple stuff. and as for ” ghetto ” skaters asleast u know that their not gonna follow any trends like any of the pros that do. but i guess we have to wait and see the video.

People don’t seem to get that Negrete films aren’t about the craziest tricks done by the best skaters in the world. It’s about a lifestyle.
Sure it’s great to see skaters doing what we would have thought a few years ago to be impossible, but that’s not all we need to be seeing.
Frankly, I would liken it to Black Market, it’s as much if not more about the rollerbladers rather than the rollerblading.
Anyway, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it, so why even bother bitching? We’ve got enough haters as it is.

It’s nice to see a different style of skating coming out. Whether you like it or not, you have to give these guys credit for the use of their nuts in the way they’ve gone completely against the usual style of DVD.
Yeah, they weren’t that great, and yeah, many of us could probably hit many of those tricks, but they’re doing something different. I’m not for the whole indie/emo look, but hey. I like the clean-cut look, clean-cut grinds and the way they tend to hold things rather than switch-up.
It comes down to opinion. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, these guys have produced something people will enjoy.

whats wrong with makios on a curb? Rollerbladers have feelings to you know, would you tell him to his face that it was rubbish? Some of you people are nasty, why are rollerbladers so horrible? hate, hate, hate is i ever read. All you people are horrible.
Rollerbladers are so obsessed with “emo” i’ts unreal, there is nothing emo about this trailer, i know you’ve heard this all before i don’t why i’m even typing this.
Maybe people need to relise that the cloths we wear maybe don’t have any connection with rollerblading, maybe thats just how they dress and just happen to rollerblade or something i don’t know well thats the case for me anyway, but i do know that once “baggy” was the biggest trend ever and now everyones moaning about peope following the “tight” trend? Do you not understand? I can’t believe I got sucked into this debate, but seriously some people are stupid. On a more positive not i love FORVERNOW and RTN and can’t wait for this.
