Best Shima Edit Yet. If this guy skates that well on that terrible half pipe imagine how good he could be if he lived in cali etc etc.
June 16th, 2012 at 7:02 am
Sonic adventure 2!!!!!!! Amazing game. Sick blading too.
June 16th, 2012 at 7:10 am
That was awesome. Thanks!
June 16th, 2012 at 7:20 am

Loved that video, really well put together, that first switch up was fresh.
Respect to you Alexander for skating in this environment !
June 16th, 2012 at 10:01 am
dreamcast ? :O where the fuck is jet set radio?
June 16th, 2012 at 10:06 am
Truly inspiring! This kid is trying hard to live his dream even though it seems odds were/are against him. Lion heart! Plus he appears to be a nice fellow and beastly on blades! Shima -> take care of him!
June 16th, 2012 at 10:23 am
I think it would be more suitable if they sent him to Cali for a few weeks.
June 16th, 2012 at 11:00 am
Amazing, thats the word.
June 16th, 2012 at 11:44 am
sponsor this guy with a trip to cali!
June 16th, 2012 at 11:55 am
June 16th, 2012 at 12:42 pm
That was incredible… Real recognize real… Even he knows SHIMA and CREW are killing it.
Skating is about heart and soul, and D.I.Y. and doing it for what you believe in.
I really wanna play Max Payne 3 now… I’ve been wanting to play that ish and now more than EVAR!
Maxwell, good luck!
June 16th, 2012 at 12:53 pm
He’s better than shima
June 16th, 2012 at 1:05 pm
This guy is the one. There is real passion there. He lives for skating it has defined him as a person. + He is next level and with that attitude he will only get stronger. Trip to Cali for sure! SSM take note!
June 16th, 2012 at 2:01 pm

real legit
June 16th, 2012 at 3:23 pm
…no hate on rollernews.
that says it all.
June 16th, 2012 at 3:41 pm
That was awesome!
June 16th, 2012 at 3:42 pm
Definitely inspiring. Living somewhere like rio, especially in rocinha and still be skating is amazing. I’ve seen lots of documentaries showing how rough it is there. I love rollerblading but I’d struggle in Rocinha. Worth a new blood placement easily
June 16th, 2012 at 4:17 pm
that guy rules.
June 16th, 2012 at 4:18 pm
Really inspiring. That’s motivation for sure.
June 16th, 2012 at 4:22 pm
What a great kid, intelligent and thoughtful things said. Winner hands down
June 16th, 2012 at 5:19 pm
Max is awesome, his tricks are very controlled, he is disciplined and skate smart, then he hardly ever gets hurt. Besides he’s very easy going, so pretty much the ideal rollerblader to sponsor. Shima should definitely choose him.
June 16th, 2012 at 5:30 pm
so sick! that was amazing, with some heavy tricks. I’d love to skate your home town, it looks incredible .
June 16th, 2012 at 6:12 pm
Quite possibly the most inspirational edit I’ve ever seen. Against tough odds and the guy still pulls through killing it. Amazing. Hope SSM sponsors him.
June 16th, 2012 at 8:33 pm
Hell yes that was such an amazing edit! Maxwell looks like a really cool guy and should definitely win something for this.
Good luck Maxwell and please put out some more videos! Your tricks were great too.
June 16th, 2012 at 9:25 pm
SSM won’t find a better edit than this. We got the winner here. This was even better than shima’s boring edit.
June 16th, 2012 at 10:53 pm
Man, you really inspired me. You have really high skill level, passion, and soul for rollerblading. Shima and the big guys in our skate industries, give a shot for this guy, he is a example of brazilian’s talents and of the brazillian reality!
Sucesso pra vc cara, vc merece!
June 17th, 2012 at 12:26 am
June 17th, 2012 at 12:58 am
really fantastic…This is the winner…contest is over
June 17th, 2012 at 1:27 am
Dude is epic. Congrats Maxwell, such an inspiring edit and sick skating!
Hope to see more of you in the future.
June 17th, 2012 at 2:01 am
Loved this edit, and all the cool footage, his story has a lot of meaning and is authentic. The same story told out of California and spoken in English would not be as interesting.
June 17th, 2012 at 2:57 am
I must say that was a truly inspiring edit. never commented on roller news before but after watching this amazing vid I had to say something. Keep up the good work, the talent is there its only a matter of time till you get sponsored. Can’t wait to see more of your edits in the future.
Love and respect from NYC.
June 17th, 2012 at 8:28 am
guy deserves to win, without a doubt!
June 17th, 2012 at 12:40 pm
dont get me wrong this guy seems like a sound lad and hes pretty good, but come off it with all these faggy ‘so inspirational’ posts. your making me look bad
June 17th, 2012 at 1:54 pm
I think everyone has a lot of respect for this kid. I can’t imagine growing up in that environment. I’m truly in awe of his drive. I mean, where do you even start, forging a life for yourself which is so far removed from your surroundings and realistic path.
Just want to say that your skating is really impressive, but your character is what truly stood out.
You a better man than myself. I feel very privileged to be shown a glimpse into your life, and that we have such a great ambassador in Brazil.
Mad props Maxwell.
I wish you all the best in the future!
Oh and not that is needs saying but… this is the winner.
Thanks

June 17th, 2012 at 10:18 pm
FODA DEMAIS! we have a winner no doubt!

June 18th, 2012 at 1:20 am
Amazing! Plan it outside!
thanks
June 18th, 2012 at 1:31 am
Valeu Alexandre.
June 18th, 2012 at 6:16 am
Just hope that the moving honesty and inspiration found in his story won’t get jaded and blinded by the capitalism of the US if he makes it here. This country can change and corrupt honest people.
June 18th, 2012 at 12:49 pm
Sensacional!
June 18th, 2012 at 10:19 pm
