We stayed 7 days in Flachauwinkl to film some powder and park action and everyday after ski we were having tonz of fun in Chill out house with nice and mellow miniramp.

salomon skates were dope! Aaron feinberg, Vinny Minton, Nick Riggle, Matt Andrews, Chiaki Ito. The skate was so comfy and had the feel of a ski boot.
Im pretty sure that they bailed on making new blades cause there wasnt enough money in it. Probably a good business move at the time but I can understand bladers hating on Salomon.

salomon stop making skates cause the company was sold when skating was at a low point and the new people did’nt see the point in it! realy shock’d every who ever had anything to do with em! i.e team manager’s! salomon’s was the shit no dout. ps did try and get the new owner’s detail’s so i could tell them what CUNT’S they was realy fuck with alot people! still see people repping them still just go’s to show how sick they are! got my grey fienberg’s fresh guna rock them when im about 50! if i can walk still!

Oxygen was owned by atomic.
Atomic cut the oxygen money source and anticipated the end of the rollerblading industry on Christmas 98-99. Very few people know how the decline of rollerblading started, it was no more than a scare action from all big corporations that cut the money source into rollerblading because Atomic was selling the oxygen on the pennies at big malls.
But before selling all the oxygens with cozmos (billiris etc) on them to the malls they had sold their normal stock to specialized shops like usual. When the same product was available in big shops and malls for half the price the inline industry suffered big time. All dedicated shops got fucked and the inline recession started.
And Salomon leaving the industry is just the recoil of all this, same for rollerblade and K2.
Of course there was a social side to all this, getting dropped from the x games and all that long thread of events, but monetarily this is how aggressive inline ended.
