  2. el nino Says:

    nice

  3. Scampy,chips & scraps love please Says:

Looks sick, I might get my first pair of razors ever now that the boot is not as bulky.

  4. marosh Says:

that new wide backslide plate looks great…i like the boot too, cant wait to see the skate finished

  5. satan Says:

looks really good, that was a nice informative clip. if they’re making them slimer i might even go back to razors some day.

  6. nw Says:

the boot design looks so good but could create problems for people like myself as ive always skated razors for the fact that there a wider shell.lol shell’s from usd or valo say absolutly kill my feet because there just to slim. but we shall have to wait and see.

  7. lukeh Says:

I think i’ll hold my judgement until i skate them or see the prototypes skated i think the soul frame will snap on big gaps to be honest

  8. slut Says:

noone is saying “its about time”? well not yet anyway. i think they have some great innovative ideas there. cant wait to try em.

  9. yastariggo Says:

    shitshitshit!
    bad:(

  10. dr Says:

wow, razors invented the usd psirus’s soul idea. wow. nice.changeable soul pieces. wowow. what a niiiice thing. omg.

(btw, psirus never had a nice customer base, because its not “pro”. razors is pro! razors invents a “new” thing in every new mold, which was originally in psirus…)

    lameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  11. Mani Says:

Looks not bad but honestly … it s stills the same shit …

  12. crack adict Says:

i like the fact that they are aiming to make them cheaper than the genesis range…thats pretty cool

  13. JanisZ Says:

everyone is complaining about the same shit everytime but when you look at new remz models and comments below, everyone is complaining that they want the old models back. i guess people just dont know what they want :)

  14. jomu Says:

what a lot of bullshit propaganda, the design took 3 days… yeah right.

just as stupid as aragon dyeing his skates to find the right colour combo.

  15. Grabietz Says:

it says you never must change your soulplate, but if you do negative tricks you MUst change your soulplate after some time

  16. jj Says:

the skates are really good saw them at trade show the there day,

  17. pete w Says:

Hot shit! Props to brian and murda!

Its good to see “the process” of designing the new skate for once, instead of just seeing the end-product after it is done.

  18. RollInLondon Says:

    Marketing mistake:
Presenting the upcoming skate with all the new features and in the end advertise for the G7… who cares about the g7 now ?

  19. Patrick Says:

those look sick, but i like the genesys more.
i hope they still make them, when my point eights die, i’ll probably cop some g7’s. stop bitching everyone, you all wanted soemthing new, you got it.

  20. flowskate Says:

    yeee
thats what i have been waiting for.
    those boots will be fire.
getting me somes of those as soon as they drop!
everyone having a crack at this skate really needs to keep there mouths a put shut.
listen, you asked for something different
    there definatly delivering.
and all you can do is diss.
its obvious that skates are moving into being more lightweight.
    look at remz for instance.
its a good move in my eyes.
as long as they are sturdy, the lighter the better!

  21. Daniel R. Says:

I found make the backsideplate and the soulplates in one piece
then you dont need 6 bolt maby 4 or something like that!
sorry for my english i am german
    skate biatch

  22. razor_dave Says:

for the person that is worried about how slim they are, i’ve held a pair of prototypes and there not that much slimmer

i can’t wait for these, everything i complain about on my Genesys has been fixed on this skate

    the shifting backslide plate
the souls wearing out too fast
    the weight

i hope they make the inserts available as just one foot if you want, cause i always wear out my left soul but my right is usually still in really good condition so it’s a bit of a waste of money buying both if you only need one

can’t wait to get a pair of these

  23. yh man Says:

thats gross just looks like the cult soul plate
the genesis boot is the best ever and that soul for the genesis boot is the best it ant bulky atal its fucking lussshhhhhhhhhh
    ll

  24. steve swain Says:

    negative grinds are for gays

  25. javier Says:

will be possible to use the new soulframes on genesis skates?

  26. Phaeton Says:

I want them in white with freestyle F1s, just as seen on previous spy-movie.

  27. quinny Says:

those skates are the best already had a litle shot on them and strait away felt comfortable in them, i advise these skates for annyone.

  28. JordanVM Says:

    gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme….etc
    NOWWWWWW

  29. Scott_Nairn Says:

    they look so sick
i’m actually hyped about them now, i’ve even held chaz sands prototypes and i wasn’t overly impressed but seeing the changes has defo made me go woooowwwwwww

    steve swain Says:

    negative grinds are for gays

i think that anyone who does negatives in razors looks gay
but xsjados like chris farmer looks ok…. dunno why?

  30. Eddie Says:

    Oooooh snap!

    Can’t wait!!

  31. Urbn^nja Says:

Well then…I like what I c. The concept behind cutting out the base of the shell is a pretty cool idea. I find the new Soul and Backslide system a bit questionable though… I don’t do too many negative tricks but the reason behind the other side not being replacable is because Negative tricks are never done as much as regular souls usually. They’re done the least. Cess slide fix option is good. Making em slimmer is nice but not too slim so they end up burning wide feet. Finally, I am actually down for a change!

  32. everyone = majority opinion Says:

hahhaa murda ! blahgh im just lookin at thes big oll titties ahsadhajsd and he kinda trails off haha i am still laughing

  33. Victor A. Says:

I just pulled an OLD issue (#21 Take A Picture…) of Daily Bread from my treasure chest of OG goodies. I’m looking at THE FLAT by Razors. They’ve come a long way since the Marco Hintze days.

  34. J Star Says:

They look dope!! Lighter, slimmer, AND cheaper!?

  35. manufan4eva Says:

is this old?? because havent we already seen the prototype?? video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWXWv5G8BsM

  36. andy gibson Says:

i hope their not too narrow :S i have wide feet lol…

  37. W.N.H.2 Says:

it’s about Muthafuckin time. Yes I know it’s spelled wrong. I have put up post on every razor skate for the longest time and knew that they would need a change. The idea that you’re riding directly on your frame is a very painful and not protective idea but I guess it won’t hurt depending on how strong or thick the Soul plate is. also from what they just did. it will still be heaver than what they could have made it simply by adding that extra piece of plastic on the skate itself. They would have been better off by making the shell a compound plastic and keeping the soul light but dense enough to make it easy. Once again though, I guess we’ll see. I think though this whole super thin thing is stupid. I could only ride Razors out the box due to their width. Now I can with the CK2’s but those are the only skate besides RB and I don’t support fake ass companies. Hopefully this will be a great product. I’ll buy some simply to see it and find the flaws which I already see 3 of them but only time will tell about the final product.

  38. mihai bivol Says:

    illest

  39. shishkababy Says:

looks effing dank. i cant really say that i would like them yet, until i see the real thing and skate it, but its progress. having murda and aragon so involved in designing them is nice, cos who else could you trust better to make a good skate? no one but the best skaters. and to all you people bitching shut up. everyone is always bitching that razors keeps making the same thing over and over, they should make a new skate for once… and now that they finally do you still find something to bitch about without even seeing the final product. if razors could be so trusted and popular for so many years off of one shell, i believe they would aspire to nothing less. look out for this.

  40. Frank / XSK8 Says:

    I’ll buy it… sure!

  41. eat Says:

EHH, TO ALL YOU GUYS CLAMORING ABOUT IT NOT BEING REPLACEABLE ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE……….QUIT YOUR BLOOD CRYING, CAUSE………..IT IS REPLACEABLE YOU TARDS, YOU JUST HAVE TO REPLACE THE SOUL BASE PART INSTEAD OF THE SLIDER PARTS. SO……….. YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO COMPLAIN BOUT THERE!

  42. Roussel Says:

the only thing that i dislike about Genisis boots and these, is that the boot is not protected on the negative side, after a couple of cess slides and negative slide, the soul plate wears out and you are grinding away at the boot.

other than that these look amazing, the cut out bases just make so much sense!

anyone know if they will use the normal razor cuffs? or will they redesign it as well.

  43. bsiberico Says:

Not bad, but I think genesys models are more beautyfull…

  44. james weir Says:

really good idea about making the skates thinner i think sometimes when you look at mabby deshi or razors you think there big and bulky looking (snow boots almost) thinning them down will allow more ankle supports and more involvement with moving your body into the grind ect ect good idear plus you look cooler :) taking the main soal out will make the skate alot lieter so thats another good thing! i think there on the right lines so keep it up :) should post more stuff like this gets people interested.

  45. Tru Says:

Genesys = perfect but im down to try the new boot and pit it against my setup

  46. RJS Says:

    looks nice
but pleace in black with red souls ^^

  47. chemnitzDaniel Says:

i really could imagine that the soulframe bends in direction of your feet (when doing gaps etc) which could be really painful i guess…

  48. satan Says:

eliminating the shell sole is the best idea ever, it will make the skate so much lighter and your feet will be much closer to the grinding surface which will improve precision and control immeasurably

  49. nelson Says:

they look like remz soul plates

  50. asshole Says:

Why does Murda sound like such a fag, I’ve never heard him speak be4

  51. Joel Says:

how dated is that CAD software, they need to get rolling on autodesk maya

  52. ght56 Says:

    DOPE

  53. rollerblading is gay Says:

haha. my razors are lasting pretty damn long. i loves’em. and i like how theyre wide cause i can put fat ass liners in’em and lace’em up and theyre like pillows.

  54. rza Says:

Joel - “how dated is that CAD software, they need to get rolling on autodesk maya”

I don’t think MAYA is a CAD program. It’s more for doing movie effects and 3d animation stuff. I’m pretty sure AUTODESK still has a separate CAD software program though. :)

  55. al dolega Says:

Last summer I put the size US9 prototype on my scale, set up with Featherlights, 56mm wheels, jug liners, and GC antis, and it was exactly 4lbs. That’s crazy light for a full hardboot skate.

I rolled around in them and there was no flexing of the frame or anything like that, the fit was great, and they felt crazy light.

The negative/base plate is of course replaceable and it wraps up around the boot so you won’t wear into the actual shell.

The backslide plate is a different part because it’s a different material that’s better for groove tricks, where there is less surface area being used than a soul plate. When you make the soul and backslide areas out of one material you usually end up with something that’s a good speed for soul tricks and too fast for backslide tricks, or vice versa. Making the two parts from different materials is simply the best allover solution, saving the few grams of weight on a one-piece part isn’t worth having your skates not slide right.

The Genesys skate will still be available and will be the mid-level/intermediate models for Razors- the Cult will be the entry-level/budget models and the SL will be the high-end models.

this soul system is absolutely nothing like the Psirus’s system. The Genesys, until the one-piece came out, yes… this skate, no way.

Don Bambrick has had his a week and is killing it on them, he loves them way more than the Genesys mold and he loved the Genesys a lot. Tonight at Landslide he did huge forward 7’s and 9’s over their big new launch, and did SWITCH outspin360 makio, grabbed, on the downbox, first try (aka fullcab alleyoop makio).

  56. -ninja- Says:

cutting out the bottom of the shell was one of my ideas. It makes sense to cut it out aside from where the bolts are because youve already got the bottom of your liner then the soul plate

  57. chiken Says:

cutting the bottom out though won’t it cause more shock to your feet on landings though?

i mean i really want a pair but im sure if my feet c ould take the pain coz i ahve metal plates in both my heels

  58. nice Says:

keep up the great work Aragon and Murda, looks like the skates gonna be way better.

  59. tim Says:

that design was out for like what?.. last year..?.. that was the aragon model that was posted before……. only in black… it’s a mix of cult and genesis…

  60. kristjan Says:

I don`t like those skates they looke ugly

  61. Cullen Says:

gettin sick of the wait to be honest!!
