Kaltik was started in 2002 by Conor Manweiler.

His idea was to produce clothing for the rollerblading scene and to support the Irish rolling scene and sponsor a team. The team started out with 6 skaters .

Two of whom do not roll any more but however, the team currently has 9 skaters Kevin McGloughlin, Paraic McGloughlin, Ricky Murphy,Jay Gorman,Daniel Gorman, Conor Manweiler, Morgan Lynch, Jay Mulligan and Albert Hooi.

Throughout the years Kaltik has made all types of clothing from fleece jackets, polo shirts, hoodies, t-shirts, caps and beanies.

A team DVD was put together in 2004 with the help of many Irish rollers. In 2006 Kaltik made a prototype frame which was later sold on to a production company, and in 2008 the Kaltik created Kaltik Hardware and the frame was produced.

My complaint is why the fuck should I buy a frame from a company that can’t even register a URL, myspace? fuck myspace.

  28. KMT UNDERSTAR ! conor.m Says:

dont criticise what you dont understand ……these were always a Kaltik frame.. from when they first were tested back 2003 ……. they were licensed to Alchemy … but they didnt use correct material … and angles ARE NOT the same as Kaltik Frames ! also do u know who runs and owns Alchemy ! why would u want to support a company which has no interest in rollerblading ….only to take from rollerbladers… which we found out to OUR cost and wasted 3 years in doing so !

    peace
