ok this edit was cool, the title states clearly at the top kaltik frames and summer edit 2009 it doesnt say kaltik frames edit so thats why most of the team riders have gc frames and these frames were made in to prototypes after summer so it would be awkward to put them in the edit
but anyhow nice work kaltik and its good there supporting the irish scene

This frame company is skater owned and the frames are designed by skaters.
In my opinion this company is a real rollerblade company , unlike the commercial over advertised shit companies out there .

Really proves to me how ignorant you are. Yes, he may have been excited, and maybe he wasn’t meaning it as a racial slur, but the point everyone is trying to make is that if you want to sell your product, and get the majority to purchase your product, then you should not any negative tones in your campaign. It’s called professionalism.
I showed this to a friend of mine who is in his own business and said he pretty much messed up his campaign by dropping the N word. Sure people are still going to buy the product, but be a professional about it.

Team looks weak, Frames look weak, compared to other companies, just seems there’s no professionalism about this company in terms of edit quality and public perception of this company, look at create originals there taking all the right steps…good edits, advetisement, team and products all look quality as well as being role models. Im sorry but kaltik clothing? shouldn’t the team have style in terms of there garms and style cos it seemed lacking….circa 2004 maybe.
and the racist comment doesn’t help the companies perception even if I wasn’t offended.

I didnt really enjoy the edit purely based on the fact all these people can skate better in real life, and the edit doesnt portray how good they are at all!
Like James Kelly in unit13, the tricks in the edit looked crap and sketchy whereas I have seen him skate a few times and everything is executed perfectly, honestly looked like two different people.
The frames look alright but really tall, might be the way the photo is taken though. I dont skate flat but look quite good, better than the blue ones anyway lol.

Just from a business perspective, the word would turn away potential customers. People get caught up in the moment. It’s understandable. I’m just giving some advice. I’d rather see you guys making money, than shooting yourself in the foot.
And for the other folks who are crying people are being “oversensitive” or “pulling the race card”, you’re making the situation bigger than it really is and showing off your ignorance further by giving negative comments, and making it harder for the people who are trying to sell their product and make the money to keep the customer happy and wanting to buy their products. i have held an messed with theese frames they are made from a new compound a nylon mix or summit and will not break i asure u and the bolts are counter sunk and there light faster than anything i have ever witnessed and super super strong and will be available in a blue too :)

some of these comments are actually just plain racist. The comment in the actual edit was less offensive than whats being said here. Also no one’s entitled to make generalizations about all Irish people not giving a fuck. I’m Irish and I care. That’s just ignorance and completely untrue. But some people are just ignorant regardless of race, color, nationality etc. I think people are over reacting a little while it wasn’t a professional decision to include that remark. This exact remark has been used by white rollerbladers in notable videos in the past and while that mightn’t be correct it’s how it is. I’m not condoning the use of the n wrd. No one can say it was appropriate but we can come to an explanation for it. It’s only a word regardless of it’s meaning and racist associations just because some white people have used this word negatively in history esp. in america does’nt mean it’s only use has to be negative. For example in most rap and hip hop music the n word is a prominent feature. So essentially are we living in a world where it’s ok for a black person to say the n word and not a white person or else they’re automatically classed as being racist. Its like saying anyone in germany who is’nt a jew and says the word jew is a nazi it’s simply ridiculious. It would be a little naive to hold this view. I think the use of the n wrd in this particular edt was influenced by the hip hop mindset which is a part of our culture and was’nt meant to cause deliberate offense to anyone. Blame mtv. Blame rap. – the country man.
Another valid point is that you can’t even identify who’s saying the remark.
